Hollywood Bowl in Worthing is a pleasant spot! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are friendly. Edited:nAfter 15 years of Hollywood Bowling including New Year's Eve bookings and parties I was never going to use Hollywood Bowl again.nAn e-voucher for £50 was bought for us but due to covid, my wife's health and my son's A-levels, we were unable to use it until 5 weeks after its expiry. I rang to explain and offered to pay a fee to extend it but the answer was a firm NO the from the call handler, supervisor and team leader. The money paid is now theirs for doing nothing, apparently a gift card is different to an e-voucher and so they will not extend it but just keep your money for doing nothing..........nOr that's what would have happened if I had not managed to contact the Hollywood Bowl CEO who arranged with the help of Stacie and Jake to honour the voucher and book us in a few days later,nI would say still to anyone with an E-Voucher: don't let any life events get in the way of you using it within 12 months or you'll have to be prepared to battle.
We went on father's day so it was very busy and very loud but the bowling was good. It's exactly what you want. Liked it but no wow factor.
Not happy with the lanes of bowling at all... bumpy and not flat, also sides of lanes need taking care of. Not satisfied with the service, facilities, stuff and the booking system. Also their phone number is a premium, not free to call. Overall not a pleasant experience unfortunately... Won't be coming back. I also found it very rude when they started turning off lights when we were still playing and there was still another 15 mins or so to the closing time..
If you’ve ever been to a bowling alley, then you’ll know what to expect - lots of arcade machines, a bar and bowling lanes. A nice touch was that if you wear trainers, you don’t need to hire shoes. The bar is good and there is food available which looked appetising if basic think burgers, fries, although we didn’t need to eat on this visit. A fun evening.
