We went on the last Monday of the school summer holidays. It was a fun time. It wasn't too busy. We just played 1 game of bowling. Someone came to our lane to take a drinks order for us. Good service. The staff were friendly and helpful
Ordered food while bowling, took a very long time to arrive and was cold once delivered to us, we'd already finished bowling so had to move our food to a table.nnWe were only informed that they were out of stock for an item we had ordered, 15 minutes after we had placed the order and paid for the food.nnSharing starter deal, one of our selection of 3 items was out of stock, we were asked to substitute it for another. We looked at the menu and decided we didn't want any of the other options on the starter menu, so we thought we could just double up on a second portion of nachos instead but they stated, as per the deal, that we weren't permitted to have a second nachos to replace the item they didn't have in stock that we had originally ordered and paid for.nnThe least they could've done is offered the second nachos as an option as an exception, as it wasn't our fault our third choice was out of stock.nnDidn't want to refund us either initially. Wanted to give a voucher instead, but we insisted on refund as we do not live local. Staff and manager attitude wasn't great but maybe they're just having a bad day after the busy festive season.
Bowling Lane itself well maintained. Nearly all the balls I tried had chips out of them. I found it too noisy but these places often are. The lighting was OK. Uncomfortable hard seating. Reception couldn't offer me the deal you can get by booking online so I had to go outside to get signal and book online.
Decent enough establishment. The lanes need some tlc. Not somewhere to go if you are a serious bowler as the lanes aren't great. But good family fun and the staff are alright.nnRemember to only bring the kids if you have a few pennies for the surrounding arcades
Just had a fab couple of hours - 19 kids from school and 3 staff. An hour of bowling followed by food. Everything was spot on - food came out hot, the children all enjoyed the bowling, food and the arcade. Staff were all very welcoming, and the manageress was fab. Highly recommend.
