Get out of town and explore the island many back roads off the beaten track will open up another side to the vastness of the island. I have come to know the place quite well after having worked on the island for a few month and it is a very welcoming place.

Most gorgeous place I have laid eyes on. Picturesque scenery and wonderful lochs. All necessities are in Stornoway and lovely little villages around the island.

....my first experience were the people most employed in fish farming ..the villages very picturesque although Stornoway was more welcome having all urban facilities..the range of mountains is ideal for long walks .
