I would definitely recommend Alamein House as one of Bute's finest establishments. A short journey from the ferry terminal, and a great base to explore the island. We were made very welcome by the friendly and knowledgeable hostess Ursula, who ensured our stay was excellent. We took Ursula's advice and headed to Scalpsie Bay, and were only a few metres away from seals. Alamein House is also within easy travelling distance of Mount Stewart, which is magnificent and a must see! 1 weekend was not long enough, and when we return we would be glad to stay at Alamein House again. Comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast - all you need to have a great stay.

Great place to stay, Ursula made us feel really welcome and cooked a fantastic breakfast hope to return soon, Great location, just a short walk from the ferry and other amenities in Rothesay would highly recommend.
