Nice old school hotel. I was initially in one of the rooms without a view. It had the feel of a dated care home and the constant whine of a ventilation system. I found it terribly depressing. I upgraded to a room with a view and it was quite nice, quiet with a modern bathroom and a lovely view. Definitely worth the extra 20 pounds.nnOverall I enjoyed my stay. I didn’t eat at the restaurant but it was a popular choice. There are lots of options in town for meals or coffee and baked goods.
Had a great stay, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from our room and the bar. Would recommend paying extra for a sea view room!
Wow, The Glenburn Hotel is like the doweger duchess of hotels. You could imagine the ladies coming down the grand staircase. Staff were helpful and friendly and food was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a lovely place to stay..... I spent a night here whilst on the island visiting.nThe rooms are lively and comfortable with everything you need. I had one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time thanks to the new chef here ..... what a fabulous addition to the hotel.... the staff were lovely and friendly and a special shout out to Thomas who really went above and beyond... service was impeccable.nThe hotel is situated close to the ferry terminal and the views from the terrace are spectacular.nWill definitely come again
It partly felt like we were staying in a construction site. Scaffolding up against our bedroom window, building debris on the bathroom window sill. The place has the potential to be a fantastic hotel but it needs a lot of work.nnSmall balls of dust in the bathroom.nnPlace is ok for a basic sleep but that's about it. We ended up avoiding the restaurant and managed to find some absolute gems nearbynserving seasonal local produce!!
