Really nice owners who bent over backwards to help us out - even before they realised we were staying with them.  Don’t expect the Ritz- it’s not and they don’t pretend to be.  Very laid back, which is typical of the island.  Rooms spotlessly clean, fantastic location- right on the harbour. There are stairs, so be aware of that.  Absolutely perfect for what we wanted - thank you so much especially for the little extra touches.

Going back here in sept for my husbands birthday. We stayed in twin room 3rd floor. Great view bedroom was spotless n bathroom was very spacious with bath n shower. Andrew the landlord was very nice n helpful. Cant wait to come back sept.

Worth a visit. Original decor, clean and run by a lovely family. Full Scottish breakfast available, very filling. Tidied hubby and I over until evening.

Book directly with hotel my husband and five other just returned home from a stay here. It was excellent and breakfast was fantastic they were over for fishing weekend and staff were brilliant every accomodating price was great they will definitely be backRooms: 5/5

Omg I can't believe people have written good reviews about this hotel,  we booked an overnite, bed & breakfast £69 ,we where told when we booked it there was parking, ye it was  a paying  carpark  at £1 per hour, every where else was double yellow lines, there was only the cleaner in the  building, not a very good 1st impression , as soon as I walked in the front door I could smell dampness,  it was camouflaged with loads of air freshners which didn't make much of a difference, the room was tiny with just curtains on the window,  so we decided we weren't stayin, everywhere else was fully booked,  thankfully we drove along the road to the Glenburn hotel,  it's beautiful, we booked an overnite with dinner bed and breakfast for £20 more than we paid for bute house hotel  I would never recommend it even to my worst enemy!!!

Great wee place room very comfortable although decor but dated they are doing it up breakfast was super and the view from our room was lovely

Great value for money Clean and fresh Friendly staff who definitely work hard In centre if town and right next to boat Again great value for money
