Sooo interesting learning experience about zizzis. So I orders the Christmas special. The beef brisket and venison tagietellte. And if you look at the pictures before I even eaten the food I see barely a piece of venison or brisket on there. I separated the meat so see how much there actually was. So 14 quid for that below....... I mean wow. What terrible value for money. Might as well ordered pasta with tomato sauce and nothing else. It gets more INTERESTING....... I ask the manger why so little meat he says it come like that. We get given the food like that together.... sooo I said to him the food comes PACKAGED???. And he said yes..... I was actually shocked I didn’t know what to say. Basically food comes packaged at zizzis have I just spent 14 pound on a ready meal. What’s worse it tasted weird as well. And had barely a piece of venison or brisket. And what’s even worse my order what originally wrong. So I had to wait for my food while it was being cooked and everyone else at the table was eating. I went zizzis 6 years ago and it wasn’t a great meal then. I thought I’d give it another chance. But well disappointed again. So yea save your money and go buy your self a ready meal from Marks and Spencer’s.
Perfect and very quiet place to eat. If you are looking for reasonable prices, good food and a pretty lovely time this is your place. Workers are very sensible and kind, the food is perfect, they got a lot of vegetarian and vegan friendly dishes... The desserts are perfect too.
Edit one year on. Sat eve, 8pm. Nearly empty restaurant. Last year gave 4 stars....this year struggled to give 2. So what was different? Staff: mostly ok. .just ok. If you are not ready to order then expect a long wait as they forget to return...both for ordering drinks and food. Had to locate someone. Not offered parmesan. Had to ask for pepper as well and waitress said "i will try to find some" then hunted round the other tables until she located one. Then- there seemed to be a volunteer working there- baggy grey t shirt and old jeans hanging halfway down his bottom.......but omg! Was he actually the manager? Complaints/comments not responded to except see below in food review. Food- just average. The cheese dip starter was just a cheese sauce- no better than I put on my homemade lasagne. Pasta with meatballs- husband struggled to find 3 meatballs. Crab canneloni- tasteless, pappy...ate only one. Courgette fritti...no courgette.....i did mention this and was told " it's hard to find"....so i picked up several random pieces of fried batter and none had courgette in . No feedback from kitchen or manager. On paying when asked if all ok i mentioned it again and they said oh that's a shame. That was it!! Two good things- beer glass was chilled and the organic wine i dont usually do organic was super. Won't be returning in a hurry. Food is great here. Service friendly. Doesn't matter what they do to this space it never quite works.....noisy and unwelcoming- hard to hear eachother speak. Certainly not a cosy, couples type place. Prezzo across the road has nice booths but terrible food and service.

Food was good bit pricey but worth it
We went for my wife's birthday dinner. Food was great, brilliant service from Sara who was waiting on us always on hand to help with drinks order and the menu. She got the chef to make her spaghetti exactly how she likes it. I also got them to bring out the birthday cake and sing happy birthday to our table. They were more than happy to take on my request And to top it all off they took my wife's dish off the bill as a birthday treat.!!!!! If i was more local I'd be definitely be going there regularly.
Service was excellent! Unfortunately, I don't remember the young man's name but he clued us in on an offer through their website. Brilliant! The hot and spicy calzone was spot on. Nice balance of heat. Our kids always enjoy the pizza and my wife's risotto was delicious. A great dining experience.
