Popped in about 6.45 yesterday. 15 minutes before they were due to close. Saw a lovely dress pretty much straight away. A staff member was walking by and I asked if it was possible to try the garment on as the changing rooms were barricaded off! This was my first visit to Zara and was not sure how their clothing would fit. The staff member didnt really seem all that helpful and to be quite honest was quite rude with her reply which was no as we are closing soon. All I wanted to do was try 1 item which would have taken me no more than a few minutes. If I had a large amount clothing to try I could have understood it. I was a little annoyed as surely if you are open until a certain time it's the staffs job to help the customer where ever possible with good manners. I took a risk and went to pay for my item. We stood at a counter in the adult section and 2 staff members were too busy sorting clothes to acknowledge us standing there. After a couple minutes my partner said to them can we pay for our item please. We were abruptly told to take it to a till in the child section which was not an obvious till to take it too. The 2 staff members almost seemed inconvenienced by our question. The staff member that finally took our payment however was polite. We walked out with 5 minutes before closing. Yet they were still letting people in the shop! As it was the dress was way too small and had the inconvenience of having to take it back to our Bournemouth store where to be quite honest the staff were really no better and didnt offer another size so just got a refund. The first rule of thumb in retail is to look after your customers and really a sorry it didnt fit would you like to try another size would have been the first thing to be offered. This was my first and will be my last visit to this shop. Maybe you should train your staff properly in customer service and good old fashioned manners. !
In end of January they have a good sale and so much discount in each items and I did shopping 100£ and got 400£ items. It’s very nice and cool shop for shopping
Some articles are over priced otherwise quality is pretty much decent.
Despite the Boxing Day discounts, the prices seemed reasonable. However, the limited options and overwhelming crowds made the shopping experience less enjoyable.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful, have to say they need more staffs as rails are falling and can’t find the sizes on the walls. I asked manager, the kind lady found the item I needed and served me at the tills so pleasure to come back to the this store. Must say they work really hard as there is also so hot
Visited the store on the morning of Tuesday 3rd and was forced to queue for 25 mins to pay for 1 item. It was absolutely appalling, only one member of staff on the tills, and there didn’t seem to be any signal to alert other members of staff to help on the tills. In addition numerous members of staff were quite happy to walk past without offering any assistance. This is not acceptable! It is extremely poor customer service and absolutely abysmal management. Please address this issue.
Not enough staff on tills, the poor staff you do have on are far too overworked. Perhaps your staffing models need reviewing so you can actually serve your customers and not miss sales!
I love Zara as a brand and I love the shop in Southampton! Staff tries their best to keep the shop tidy and nice to the eye! Of course during sales time probably better to visit late or during the week days as it can become very chaotic as too many clients and long queues at the till which I must say they try to manage really well!
Good selection and nice outfits
I am a long time customer of Zara Southampton, yesterday I bought a pair of pants that did not fit, unfortunately there was some inconvenience and I did not have my receipt. I went to the store to try to load my item and the two cashiers who were there around 4:10pm were extremely rude and didn't go out of their way to resolve this issue, one of the curly hair and glasses attendants was extremely rude to me at in front of another customer. But I have to say that the manager of this store was very kind and attentive to solve this, he managed to solve it in a few minutes and understood what had happened, this store needs more people like him.
