Not particularly helpful! Went in to buy a helmet, tried one on and it was too big- the guy didn’t bother to take the time to explain that inside are different pads that alter the size- Only found this out when I went to another shop next day to buy one where the lady was super helpful and adjusted it to fit me- ended up buying more than I intended- Route One lost out!
Very disappointed with attitude of staff, my son was trying a skateboard and was asked not to! To me that is the whole point of going into a shop is to touch and try the products, I work in a bicycle shop, I would not sell a bike to a customer unless they have at least rode round the block on it. So sorry route one I will no longer shop with you and will buy online cheaper instead.
Visited the store to get my son some protection as he’s recently taken up skating. The first guy we spoke to with long hair and asked for help was extremely unhelpful and uninterested, and made us feel like we shouldn’t be in the shop. We then spoke to another guy with short hair was was EXTREMELY helpful hence the 5 star review and made up for the shortcomings of the first staff member. We’ll be back but will take care to speak to the right person next time.
The staff are just so helpful and welcoming.. Jack, Damo, Jerome are a credit to the shop.
Staff in this store are possibly the most helpful staff I’ve dealt with. friendly welcoming and knowledgeable and genuinely care about the store and their local skate community. Sadly I missed out on the mummy dunk release but no point being a little b*tch about it, they were 100% sticking by the rules and sadly my size option wasn’t available, unlike others i saw I didn’t ask for 2 other sizes and I walked away empty handed like a grown up!
Great place. Staff was very helpful and that made a huge difference when choosing the right skateboard for my son's birthday.
I went to purchase a pair of sb dunks. Was 4th in line. Asked for a size 9 and was told they had already been sold out. Which is okay first come first serve. Until I noticed the man behind me who happened to call the manager by his first name received a size 9. Wasn’t even hiding the fact that he had been turning them down for people he knew to purchase them. The same happened to 2 other people while I was waiting!! When I posted evidence and commented on the Instagram post it’s was quickly removed and I was blocked along with comments being turned off because other experiencing this issue. I have been a trainer collector for years along with friends and to be turned down for someone else to get it straight after is disgusting!
Nice Place [EDITED TWICE] I really like this place even though this review said that the trucks squeaked but that’s just how normal skateboards work so instead I decided to give you this well deserved 4 star review The price is very important as they don’t do refunds and some boards that are under 70 quid, seem to have some build problems such as tighter wheels and tiny bubbles in the grip tape. Do not be discouraged by these things as you can easily loosen the wheels and the bubbles in the grip tape are very small. In conclusion I would recommend getting a board above 75 quid to not get anything of those down sides, And everything I said here is just my opinion of going to this store as I go there every so often.
Was practically jumped on about my face mask, which was on my face. Even after government lifted the restrictions. My husband spent over £200 on our daughter in-store, they will never get our custom again. Rude staff. I left as soon as I arrived.
Was the only customer in the store for a good 15 mins this afternoon. Saw some good products I was interested in. 2 employees in store. No acknowledgement or hello at all the whole time. My wife came in after me and also liked some clothing. We would have purchased if the staff spoke to us or acknowledged us etc. I had a word to them on the way out and told them this. You think after lockdown closure they would be all over customers entering there stores saying hi and helping etc. Would hate to think what your manager would think of this
