First time back in after the refit. Looking really good! Love the area around the fireplace. Food excellent and a wide choice. We had some cracking burgers. Fair price too! Highly recommended. Dog friendly
At last, a really good local pub for us. Beer is excellent Hobgoblin kept perfectly, dog friendly, friendly staff and very good food. Good variety of vegetarian food also available at reasonable price. Will DEFINITELY be going back. Hope the current management team stays around for a while!
Visited for the first time and was really impressed. The staff were really friendly and were working their socks off ensuring people were served quickly at their tables. There were plenty of tables outside and lots under the impressive teepee where we retreated when the weather turned. You can see how hard the Rose has worked to be open again for customers. Get down there and support a fantastic local.
Beautifully decorated, fantastic choice of drinks including beers, COVID compliant, very friendly and welcoming. Lots of outdoor seating, positioned in the sun! Menu looks great!! Plus owned by a dear, old friend, Annie! Wonderful surprise! Will be back again without a doubt!! Well done Annie & Darren
Thank you Daz & Annie for a fantastic relaxing Sunday afternoon. The minor glitch was soon rectified so not even going there. Your staff are 1st class, great communication and teamwork. If ever I wanted a pub where I felt at home bearing in mind I’m from the North East this is it. I felt at home. The changes you’ve made in this pub make it what it is. I’ll be back next weekend rest assured. This is what I needed following a very difficult week at work. Don’t know how to thank you both enough but hey. Awesome! Thank you. I know quality when I see it and feel it. For those who haven’t been in, don’t walk or drive by, give this fine Yorkshire pub a chance to prove what they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed.
Food was nice but warm, not hot....
Served by polite staff. Food took around 20-30 min to arrive but it was well worth the wait for the "home cooked food". It was quiet when we visited but will definitely be making more use of this establishment now. Keep up the good work and compliments to the chef.
Visited the yorkshire rose for a drink and was pleasantly surprised, was made to feel very welcome even with the current restrictions and the pub layout made it safe with distance between tables without losing the pub atmosphere. Food was served that looked very appetizing even though we didn't have any , we were only going to have one drink but ended up staying most of the night
My last review was done a while ago. We have been recently and it's quite different.. A Relaxing atmosphere, polite staff who made you feel wecome, dog friendly, haven't tried the food yet but the menu looks very good, you can even get food for your dog.
Very nice food. Mixed starter good quality and Hand stretched veg pizza lovely. Perfect evening snack for two in the huge beer garden in the evening sun
