Booked our Christmas lunch here this year and was not disappointed. The staff were great, very friendly. The soup starter was lovely and the bread roll was so soft and fresh. I had the beetroot tart and it was delicious, the other half had turkey and said it was very tasty - he liked the fact the veg came separate rather than being piled on the plate. Christmas pudding was amazing too. Wasn't over faced with anything, we weren't rushed and will probably book here again next year. Thank you
Stopped off unexpectedly en route to the airport. Lovely food. Fantastic value lunchtime set menu. And really friendly and welcoming staff. Toilets clean, place seems well looked-after. We had a great experience!
Good pub, nice food but short on selection of ale, only 1 IPA. Lovely bar staff made us feel very welcome. Good choice of vegan and vegetarian food. Even larger options for meat eaters. Don't get to the dessert but fair choice. Friendly staff, gave us good directions and we're friendly. Would visit again.
It would be one star but the staff were nice. The food is absolutely atrocious the Sunday roasts were that bad we had to ask for our money back and go elsewhere. Beef tough and dry, roasties not cooked, veg out of a bag, my cauliflower cheese was freezing cold in the middle but the outside of the bowl was hot. Obviously microwaved and no gravy. We asked for extra gravy and got brought a tiny gravy boat which we had to ration between us. Will never go again, see picture, I had seasoned it my self with pepper before you think they did.
Ended up pulling in here completely randomly as we were driving past and it just looked so lovely! And we were not disappointed! Every single member of staff was so warm and friendly, the view sat outside was BEAUTIFUL, lovely decor, really speedy great service. This is well out of the way and nowhere near where we live but I have absolutely no doubt that we’ll be back, worth traveling to! What a gorgeous place and the staff are absolutely exceptional. Thank you and see you again soon! :
Just had a gorgeous meal at The Stone Trough in Rawdon! The food was gorgeous....what a treat. Super speedy and efficient service, a great evening in lovely surroundings. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, it added to a first class experience!
Terrible practise of adding a tip automatically to the bill that I have to manually remove. I order and pay at the table, there's practically no extra service so what is the tip even for if not for greed? Food is OK, has vegan and vegetarian options
If you advertise as you did on the website that Thursday wine is £10 and we travel there on that expectation. That is. What we should be charged or refuse to supply the product when wrongly advertised on line. Restaurant great but their company support needs improving.
Not been here for a while, and now I know why. Ordered food and told it would be a 30min wait, which wasn't a problem for us. Ordered a burger with beef burnt ends a beef dripping dip. The burger was tasteless, no seasoning at all. The burnt ends, not burnt just scraggly bits of beef sliced. Cheese cold and not melted. Chips not fully cooked through. We also ordered a BLT. Bacon cold. Chips not cooked. No one did a table check to see if all ok. No one around when we left to pass any comments on.
Me and the wife dropped by tonight for tea and was the worst mistake we had made, the food was very disappointing or disgusting to say the least and that’s been polite, we opted for the BBQ chicken wings for starters along with the pork ribs and chicken wings with chips and coleslaw, the chips were very cold, the chicken wings were awful and tasted chewy Iceland type and the ribs were also chewy, I raised these issues with a female worker but this fell on deaf ears. The reason why we opted to dine here was because we were given a gift card for Christmas and only wish now we had opted for elsewhere. After reading previous comments the company states we will discuss these issues with the team and learn from this however this seems like it falls on deaf ears and don’t seem bothered one bit just like the trash food we were served tonight
