Lovely food, nice atmosphere and great value. Will be going back.Food: 5/5
Paid £35 to be seated for 10 minutes for the breakfast for the kitchen to 10 minutes later. Absolute joke. Will not be coming back which is a shame as we used to eat here quite a lot. The manager is also a raging bell end.Food: 2/5
Just been for the worst breakfast I ha e ever eating.everything was cremated.even the mushrooms for bones dry and the chef was boasting proudly how he cooked everything well done. the only nice food item was the toast I cooked myself. Will NOT be eating there again.
Really good carvery and buffet breakfast .All the food is well prepared and delicious and its very good value for money The staff are friendly and always make you feel welcome If you are dining in a large group they will take drink orders from your table so u dont need to go to the bar . I asked for a decaf tea but they didnt have any . i said i had my own tea bags so they didnt charge me for hot water . some places do!. The restaurant is big and spread out and there is also a lovely outdoor area round the back. Can get very busy at weekends so best to book . Definitely worth a visit .
Been here many times for both carvery and breakfast, staff usually very nice and child friendly. Went today for breakfast with elderly mother, husband and young grandson. Different staff today, will not be going again, was made to feel very uncomfortable. When ordering manager asked if the child would be ordering, I said no he will probably only eat one of my sausages as he had already eaten. Was then advised he could not do that, anything he eats would have to be paid for. This was'nt enough for him, having paid for 3 breakfasts, we could not eat them in comfort due to being spied on by the waitress, who was hovering around us constantly. We could not get out of there quick enough.
Food was bit bland place needs makeover looking bit rough in some places feet sticks to carpet we had meal for 3 of us went about 2pm had our carvery sat for a while then ordered pudding and more drinks sat chatting we was then asked to move to the bar area but they eat in bar area also she said that table had been reserved we asked 4 the bill we had spent over £80 I thought that wasn't good especially as there were tables empty near us we left won't be back in a rush
Young man who took our order was really miserable not a good start eggs were solid not runny bacon was burnt beans and tomatoes were luke warm and plates were not very clean over all very poor indeed did not enjoy the food at allFood: 1/5
As a restaurant it's great value. As a pub it's fair to middling. The main sky sports bar is dominated by loud, and I mean LOUD, regulars who the staff are deferential to. Avoid at all costs. The adjacent room has a large TV and is different again. Very friendly, and, believe it or not, is dog friendly.
The food here is better than a lot of way more expensive places. The roasts are spot on, and there is always a great variety of gravys and sauces. The all you can eat aspect only applies to the veg but if you need to fill up on a fairly balanced meal without spending a fortune this place is great. The bar itself is nothing that special, but there is a nice secluded beer garden round the back. Beware though, this place attracts a lot of families with kids.
Went again today. Fabulous as always. You'll go a long way to find a carvery as good as this one.Food: 5/5
