If you want to learn Yoga in an authentic manner then I would highly recommend Yoga Satsanga Ashram. Many people are aware that yoga is more than just trying to touch your toes but it can be difficult to find courses or institutions that explore anything more than the postures and stretching. I myself tried very hard to find somewhere that i could learn and experience the philosophy of yoga beyond what you can read in books and on the internet. I was prepared to travel to India in order to do this, however, having found Yoga Satsanga Ashram in Carmarthenshire Wales this is not necessary. Highly recommended!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my yoga teaching training experience with Jnandev and Deepika at the Satsanga Ashram- they provide a warm and friendly environment to learn and practise yoga set in the heart of the Welsh countryside. If you are interested in training to be a yoga teacher I highly recommend their courses in traditional Rishiculture Ashtanga yoga.

The Ashram is the perfect place to attend the wonderful classes, for all abilities, as well as undertaking courses. Everyone is friendly, the atmosphere is warm & inviting, as well as peaceful. It is a wonderful place for body, mind & soul. I am undertaking the 200 hour teacher training course, it's amazing, the teaching, the approachability of the teachers, the accommodation, food, it's been and continues to be a wonderful course.

A very enriching and eye-opening experience of traditional, Ashtanga eight-limbs-of-yoga is taught on the 200 hour course.  This means good experience of Jattis, kriya, pranayama, mudra, bandha, pratyahara, dharana and dhyana and relaxation are taught, as well as asana and vinyasa. So if you'd like to learn more than just the gymnastics of western yoga, this is a good place to come. The teaching gives an experience of traditional Ashram life, that embraces family life. I loved it !!! and they were totally supportive of me being pregnant while I trained and completing in the months after my new baby was born, her being breast fed and family supporting me while I did the course. This is living yoga.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 200hr yoga teacher training course. Verry well organized and amazing teachers. I really feel i learned so much and my life has improved greatly from the start to finishing the course. I am so gratefull for the teachings and all that i've learned and would highly recomend the course. I am now enjoying teaching Classical Hatha yoga classes my self. I look forward to hopefully doing more courses with Satsanga Ashram in the future! Thanks Namaste

I have loved training at Yoga Satsang in adult and kids yoga teacher training over 2015-2016. Jnandev and Deepika the teachers are hugely knowledgable and welcoming, the Ashram is situated in the beautiful countryside - I always leave a retreat weekend feeling re-charged and relaxed. You are well looked after and fed lovely fresh, healthy vegetarian meals. I would thoroughly recommend a visit!

A genuinely authentic yoga experience in warm, friendly company set in beautiful, peaceful scenery in Wales. It helped me transform my personal practice & understand the yogic lifestyle in more depth. We went beyond asana's postures & yoga just for fitness or physique, exploring the eight limbs Ashtanga yoga of yoga, bringing a deeper understanding of an often overlooked side to this ancient practice.  An absolute must for anyone serious about their practice or wanting to create space & develop tools for deep relaxation.
