Romanesque revival architecture, the location of this picturesque church was chosen by Wordsworth himself stating it's location trumped anything outside of the Alps.nIf visiting the church you can park in the car park at the rear of the church hall.nA woodland walk up to the church has been created and will look amazing in the spring/summer when the roses are in bloom.nIts only been marked down as it was shut so we couldn't go in for a look around!
A very different but lovely church in a wonderful peaceful setting, cycled by & was intrigued by it unusual architecture.
A pretty setting for the church secluded by woodland. Accessible on foot from Ambleside by the footpath along the river in Rothay Park.
I didn't visit the church but nearby is Clappersgate Bridge... A walking bridge over the river... it's lovely captured in fall but I wasn't there at that time... it's a lovely walk and also has a seat...
Looks a nice church. Pitty it wasn't open. Lovely grounds.
