Staff were lovely, vet was kind and helpful, price was reasonable; can't ask for more. Best of all my poor cat who had fleas is on the mend, only a few days after taking the pill and cleansing the flat. Can't be happier!
All about profits. Had outstanding bill I was unaware of. Went to book on for a treatme and to pay off the small amount owed to be told amount outstanding was passed on to a debt collector were talking £20 selling a debt of at such a low amount is questionable told I couldn't just pay it over the phone. Will not be using this services again after 15+ years it's gone down hill fast
The staff are so caring and knowledgeable, I feel fully confident that my cat is in safe hands when there. The receptionist is also very responsive and helpful. I'm so happy to have registered here!
We brought our moggy Kimi in on Monday, for what we knew was to be a final visit. She was 20.5 years old and had been on a downward path in the recent years / months. The last few weeks were looking bleaker and over the weekend she deteriorated very quickly until she didn’t want to do anything and seemed to be in pain. On arrival we were looked after by Pola and Katie who realised the situation very quickly and were so kind and considerate to us. They said they would organise a canular to be inserted so they could administer the required injection, but Kimi passed away before they could. I guess the upheaval of the ‘trip to the vets’ which she always hated, in her youth and everything was just to much and she couldn’t hang on any longer. We were given some ‘clippings’ of Kimi’s fur etc in a little glass vile, to keep as a remembrance and we said we wanted to take her home to be buried in our garden, along with her mum and son. My wife went to the desk to pay for the visit, but was told there would be no charge. Although this is not a ‘money thing’ we found this to be over and above what we might expect and a lovely gesture. We left with Kimi wrapped in a towel and were finally given a condolence card, signed ‘all our love, Yew Tree Vets’, which again was such a nice thing for you to have done. We have used your surgery for all 3 of our cats over a number of years and have always been very happy with the service we have received, but yesterday’s visit left us feeling so heart warmed that you all can care so much for pets and owners alike. Thanks for all your efforts over the years.
Very disappointed with this veterinary practice. I've been using yew tree vets for many years, since Mr Maguire was head vet. Now he was an outstanding and caring man. It's simply gone down hill , all they care about now is money and the profit they make on our beloved pets. They are also using inexperienced nurses to do blood tests. My poor dog was crying so much , it wasn't done properly and took far too long. Don't let your animals suffer in this practice. None of my family or friends will be using their poor service again.!
We have just come to review our insurance and have been informed that should our dog ever need BOAS in the future it will not be covered, when we looked at why this was we discovered that when we took our dog to yew tree in June 2020 on one of the hottest days of the year for a scratched eye - totally unrelated to BOAS - the vet decided to diagnose her with difficulty breathing and write she needed BOAS surgery. As mentioned it was a hot day and she was already distressed due to being in the vets, our dog has never had issues breathing nor has any other vet ever recommended or suggested she needs BOAS surgery, we had however always been aware BOAS is something that can develop as bulldogs get older at which point we would look at surgery if needed. To find out a vet at this practice however diagnosed her with breathing issues simply because she was panting on a hot day, and then writing it down in her notes despite us not agreeing she needed it is pretty frustrating, as should this become an issue down the line it will cost us thousands - a reason we have always had our dog insured. I think this vets need to be more cautious about diagnosing bulldogs with BOAS simply because they are panting, there is a list of things that need examining to diagnose a dog with BOAS none of which were done on our dog, unfortunately the vet decided to just haphazardly diagnose her based on a 30 second observation of a warm stressed out dog... I would be very wary about this vets diagnosing your dog with issues they do not have, I feel like over the years we were there they became pushier with things they wanted us to fix or pay for or do, which may be why BOAS was 'diagnosed'... we have since moved to a French bulldog specialist in Goosetrey whom I would recommend for frenchie owners.
Lovely staff and vets who are very caring over all animals and owners. We had an emergency with one of our cats. We rang them immediately and they were very understanding and accommodating. The vet and veterinary staff were so kind and comforting to us. They were able to diagnose any problems quickly and efficiently and gave us the right medications to solve any issues. A really perfect experience, given the situation. Thank you so much Yew Tree Veterinary Surgery!
I moved to Yew Tree along with the old Boundary vet clinic patients. They have always been good. Recently I took my 18 year old cat to the newest state of the art vet clinic. My cat started to get sicker and sicker. They said to put her to sleep after I asked for tests. Brought her back to Yew Tree. They ran a culture two strains found on her urine. They did an ultra sound today they have found fluid on her chest possible heart issue. I wish I had never left them. Reception staff are amazing. Big shout out to Lynn. Poppy is being treated with dignity and respect. They are looking after her
My bunny is registered here and he recently had a castration surgery so we’ve had loads of visits and they’re absolutely amazing, they know how to handle pets really really well and they clearly care a lot! I would 100000% recommend it’s also very fairly priced and truly want best for your pets
Posting on behalf of the wife. Again. She loves this clinic. It's a cat owners dream. Very clean and professional. Reporting very decent vets David and Cameron with a very friendly nursing team I think the lady is called Katherine. Great knowledge and care at this pet clinic.
