I’ve been with Regans Vets for 15yrs and found everyone of the vets caring and professional but most importantly very engaging with pets and owners. Everyone complains about vet fees but when you think about years of training and dedication in the field of vets and animal health it’s understandable but you do have options to use other vets and go online with prescriptions. I owe my vets especially Chelsea and Dermot from the Avenue vets for there care and compassion my pets and ourself have received. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Our beautiful 10 year old german shepherd passed away Monday night. She had been under the care of here since being a puppy. In 2018 we found out she had a condition that would be life long. We were supported the whole way through this. She was an anxious dog that had nervous aggression and the vets were always accommodating, they went out of their way to make sure we could do what was best for our dog. Special mention to Dermot for all his help over the years and to Chelsea who was involved in the last months of tess’s life. You treated her with such compassion and always put her well being first. We received a card this afternoon from Chelsea and the team who sent their condolences. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. This is really hard for us. She meant everything to us but I can say I know she got the best care and her well being was always top priority. Love Becky and lee faulkner
I got charged £85 for ear drops and 11 tablets I found the ear drops on Amozon for £16 and the tablets on vets 24/7 for £10.56 with a prescription from the vet talk about being ripped of
Waited 30 minutes for them to answer phone. Give up in the end and will be moving vets to a more reliable one. So after your response 12 months ago I have phoned again waited 30 minutes in your queue and give up. So try again after 4pm. Currently waiting in queue again another 31 mins how long do I wait “ your currently next in queue “. Obviously, no change to your service. I give up. Don’t use these vets if you want to get your dog seen
I left this practise because I feel they are charging way too much, £55 for a consultation!!Are they not aware people are struggling? I’ve been with them a couple of years now & have had a few issues. When you do manage to get through for an appointment they call you back to re schedule!! I only wanted my dogs anal glands doing which is usually £28 but the lady on the phone was adamant because it’s a new year it’s a new policy. I’m seeking a non for profit vets.
Fantastic vets and nurses, been with them for 14 half years and was very caring when we had to have our beloved dog euthanized .Highly recommended
Used to be ok and my cats have always had the best treatment however, they are now and have been for a while incredibly short staffed which means you're often seen at least half an hour later than your initial appointment. My cats, and I assume all other animals are extremely anxious of the vets so having to wait longer is a traumatic experience for them. By the time they get seen they are more than often too stressed for a thourough check up. After my consultation I had to wait another forty minutes for the medication as this had to be signed off by a vet who had moved onto the next appointment. Receptionists seemed overworked and last night there was one girl manning the desk and answering calls. I felt sorry for her. Hopefully will get more staff soon as I have been happy with them in the past however due to the cost of living crisis I have no choice but to take my cat to a more cost effective vets.
Have had mixed experiences with this vets after a poor experience late last year with one of their locums. However the most recent visit which sadly ended with the putting to sleep of a beloved pet of 14 years was a caring and supportive process throughout. Wassim Gafsi was our vet on this occasion and his concern care and compassion not only for our dog but myself and my mum going through this process is very much appreciated. The practise itself is also clean with helpful and friendly staff on reception also.
All 3 of my cats are registered here, we had the unfortunate event of our youngest one Rio catching a viral infection, it was touch and go at one point but luckily he made a good recovery and the vets kept us informed all day whilst he was left with them on a drip for 6 hours, he came home that night. the Australian vet nurse forgot her name is so lovely! She’s a credit to your vets nothing is too much trouble and she has made my whole experience at this vets a pleasant one
Always really attentive to my dog Ruby. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. Personal touch and plenty of compassion. They're all genuine animal lovers. I've had an emergency situation twice and both times they've always seen her immediately. Great vets. Thanks everyone.
