Food ok pub food and staff was lovely very limited on drink choice being a Sam Smith pub nothing was normal here signs up no phones allowed no branded drinks the wine was awful and beer was not great. Don't think we will be returning. Not our place to dine unfortunately.
Limted and dated beer selection as is standard in a Samuel Smiths pub. A ban on the use of your own phone in the place, whilst this may appeal to the few "traditionalist" the majority of the public will find this restricted freedom unpalatable, newly opened but suspect with these rules and poor selection of beer soon to close again, which is a shame.
Had a meal here last week food was excellent well cooked and well presented. However service was poor waiting staff service was slow didn't clear tables effectively and passed plates across our table to serve not very professional. If the chef had more support this place could be gold mine.
Newly reopened, family run, traditional pub with decent and reasonably priced Samuel Smith beers and a "no mobile" policy to nuture the art of good conversation. Winner!
Food and atmosphere top notch. Bar staff/Landlords, friendly, very helpful and made us feel like part of the community.

Decent pint. Pub appears to have recently been refurbished and sadly not very sympathetically. The bar is way too modern as is the furniture. Seemed a decent tap room crowd and around a dozen eating. It has a 5 star health rating. I prefer the pleasant pub up the road. Better atmosphere
Christmas Fayre meal on christmas eve was delicious the atmosphere was lovely Bob and Barbara the new landlord and landlady have turned this pub round the christmas decorations in all the rooms where tastefully done Eliot and Morgan on the bar have a smile for everyone the banter is good. Recommend you pay this pub a visit
