We've walked around here in all weather's. Good to see the planes. Ducks. Etc. Boats. Etc. Nice place. Easy to walk. Shame toilets ate not open. Only disabled, but you need a special key. Ice cream van has a premium spot with high prices. It's a shame there's no cafe.
Nice spot for a short walk round around the lake, watching the waterfowl and the planes coming into land at the airport. Free car park, children's play area and toilets.
Great dryish walk on a wet day. Flat surface and even path, suitable for all. Lots of shrubs, little ponds and interesting wildlife on the small lake here. There can be some big puddles and runoff. If you’re lucky you might see a plane takeoff or landing. 0.8 miles per lap and free car parking. Playground: There's a small play area. Dog-friendliness: It's a great place to let the dog off the lead apart from near the shallow part where the wildfowl gather. Picnic area: There are picnic tables dotted around.
Very scenic and peaceful until a Boeing 737 takes off a couple of hundred yards away. Open to the elements but public toilets are available and plenty of free parking with wheelchair access. Children's playground too. Playground: Zip line, swings, climbing frame. Infants area also. Restrooms: Clean but cold and basic. Picnic area: Large area, about 6 benches.
It's a place, my mum, and I go here regularly when we are fit and able to walk. The lake looks amazing, especially when the sun is shining . It's brilliant for our mental health
A good place for a nice, short walk. There's a playground for the kids. There's usually an ice cream van too. Lots of flora and fauna and birds to see There's a small car park there too. Although beware! Some people seem to park anywhere in it! Not just in the parking spaces provided. We were blocked in one time and had to wait for the owners of the other car to come back. Cue a little verbal altercation. They were aware of what they'd done. Not even an apology.
Usually known locally as Yeadon Tarn, this is a lake used for recreational sailing and walking, with an adjacent large car park. There's a level path round the perimeter, good for walkers and the odd enthusiastic jogger, and in the summer you'll see dinghy sailing, paddleboarders, model boat enthusiasts and people feeding the swans, geese, ducks and moorhens with bird food bought at a nearby kiosk. Seats are available round the edge, and, stangely, planes can sometimes be seen taking off and landing from the nearby airport. Dog-friendliness: If you want to walk your dog round the lake here, they'll love it, and they'll meet a large variety of other dogs in the process. Poo bins are provided.
Always a nice walk and the nature reserve is really thriving. I wish people would buy the bird feed and not turn up with massive loaves of cheap bread as it doesn't do the Swan, ducks and geese and good. Perhaps more information signs should be invested in to educate people, similar to the ones at Roundahay Park.
Great for families to have a walk around with dogs and kids can ride there bikes and scooters. Planes land frequently on the runway near bye. Ice cream van and play area for kids. Close to Yeadon main street if you want to go have a look at the shops. Only down side was the toilets were closed.
Been walking around here since I met my wife over 30 years ago, lovely little walk around especially in summer when all the boats are on the Tarn and it's sunny
