Located in the ancient village of Alfriston. Near the Cathedral of the South Downs. A fantastic friendly pub with a fabulous ambience. Lots of character with a huge fireplace. Great beers and superb food. Highly professional and welcoming staff. A positive experience.
Had a lovely relaxed evening drinking and eating here. We tried the steak pie and veggie lasagne - both were delicious! The staff were really friendly and helpful too. Nice atmosphere with good music and twinkly fairy lights!
Wonderful place and decent food. On a nice day you will have a blast enjoying a beverage and a meal out back. The wait wasn’t long even though there were plenty of people. I definitely recommend and would go back again!!
The food was very good, and well presented. The service very good and friendly. And I really loved the terrace and garden areas! Very peaceful, relaxing and beautiful! Such a lovely old pub!
Amazing venue, great staff and social distance policy. Food great but may have inflated prices to cover help out to meet out as would not pay £20 for pie and chips. Still worth a visit after august maybe?
We only got a crumble and it was delicious! Nice cute, cosy pub.
