Went for lunch with a friend and had a wonderful time. Great setting, service and food. Carly was so friendly and accommodating, and our food, curried soup and risotto was of fine dining quality. I have high standards and I just can’t find fault. We were very impressed with the whole set up and left extremely happy and satisfied. I look forward to going back very soon!
Best pub I've been to this year! Me and my partner came in with 2 young puppies. The staff were so welcoming giving them bowl of water and some treats. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, good portion sizes and good choice of beers, a really nice atmosphere, we will definitely be back! Thank you!
Very quiet when we visited on a hot sunny day at lunchtime. Service and food was good and staff were friendly. Kids enjoyed playing in the playground
I had the gluten free Korean chicken burger and the gluten free sticky toffee pudding. Both very nice and had a few options for me to choose from. The service was very good and it was a nice atmosphere.
What an awful experience this place USED to be amazing! Booked a table for 5 walked in and there was only about 3 other diners all together. We ordered 3 ham, egg & chips & two kids meals with drinks. When the drinks eventually arrived both the Pepsi max’s were completely flat and we continued to wait for what seemed a lifetime for food. The young waitress looked at me like I was mess on her shoe when our food arrived and I questioned if they’d changed suppliers/chef etc and said I was very disappointed with our food. The eggs were dripping in oil, chips were cold and evidently had been sat there a long time and the gammon was disgustingly fatty and dripping with grease. She continued to shrug her shoulders and say “Well do you want something else or something?” My daughters began to eat their fish fingers & hamburger kids meal only to find a long shard of what looked plastic in her fish finger she immediately had to spit it out and when the young lady passed and I said “Excuse me” she ignored me & walked away. The other young waiter walked passed to engrossed in his phone three times without me being able to get his attention. My daughter hamburger was so hard you could have used it as a hockey puck & we all left more then three quarters of our meal. When I eventually showed the waitress the plastic that my daughter has bitten into she took it to the kitchen came out & said “ Sorry but it’s not our fault as we don’t make the fish on site it’s our suppliers fault and we will have to send it off to them but I won’t charge you for those” I was beyond words by this point but I know it’s such a shame how downhill this place has gone as it used to be an absolutely family favourite. The young staff I encountered today have absolutely no customer service skills and were as rude to another table giving some negative feedback at the same time completely unacceptable AVOID!
Nice pub. Pleasant staff. Food unfortunately was not good at all. Risotto was very stodgy. Fish was so over cooked on the fish and chips ham was fatty. Waited ages to have plates cleared. So gave up and asked for bill. Went elsewhere for coffee and cake.
Went with a group of 11. Fantastic! Great food. Great staff. Lovely. Only downside no car park lights. But other than that really great. Well done
We have just left and I was pleased to go,no manager to speak to ,hairs in food we pre ordered as was asked then the girls brought out two starters out if 9 blaming an error on the system. Also we hadn't any cutlery ,meals came with out food items on the plate . The communication between indoor staff and outdoor staff is terrible . We had to lift all the tables by ourselves with no help from the staff. Some of the lady staff were so embarrassed I felt sorry for them. We are not returning EVER AGAIN
Lovely garden and playground with an outside bar. The food was disappointing from such a lovely looking menu. Spicy chicken burger with no spice or flavour and unexplained cold beansprouts and a tasteless and dry, basic fish finger goujon sandwich. Food came quickly too quickly? and they do a nice Aparol spritz but wouldn’t bother coming back for a meal, sadly.
The pork was dry and only two small slices , veg all tasted the same and the wife’s burger was raw in the middle , even our dog turned her nose up at it. Nice pub but food was terrible
