Tucked away in the middle of 500 acres, Hill House Farm is a delight. Large comfortable rooms in a grade 2 listed building with climbing roses on the walls and views over the Orwell Estuary. Hazel Wrinch has taken care with every detail- not only is there a generous selection of teas and coffee, but a mini fridge to keep fresh milk in, a torch in case you want to go for a night walk, good quality armchairs to relax in after a walk, hairdryer, iron and board, and enough local maps and guides to keep you amused for a week. Breakfast is brilliant- local bacon and sausages and home made marmalade. Forget the hotels in Ipswich. Drive out to Shotley.
