Very unique and underrated London park. The east side is a large, flat open space which affords views across London. In the centre there is a small wooded area with well-maintained footpaths inside, whilst in the west half there is a wilder nature reserve area with paths leading through a meadow, making you feel far away from the bustle of London.
A playground, open space with trees, scrubland and grass, nature reserves. Far less busy than expected for its location in London. During the day, with a group it was no more intimidating than any other park with that number of people. Only in one place during our two and a half hours did we take in traffic. There were dog walkers, birdwatchers, those using the football pitches. Its a big space and if its easy to access for you and you haven’t do check it out.
Very nice open space ro do sport and relax.
It's a beautiful park, huge!!! Perfect for exercising or taking the dogs. I usually go for walks with my daughter. It has several soccer fields, an area for exercising with equipment, a small park for children that is close to a stable where you can see the horses, it has part of a reserve for birds. Great and beautiful park.
The park has a reputation but after being there myself I discovered it was actually a lovely mediel size London park. I liked the snake of forest that goes along the edge and makes you feel out of london evern though it's only tens of meters wide. The park has a large central grass area good for picnics or basking in the summer .
An extensive green space, with a wooded walk around the perimeter, a large open grassy space to the east and scrubland to the west. Although there is a paved path on the east side, it becomes wilder to the west, where the unpaved paths are likely to be muddy at rainy times.
Lovely big open space. Great for family walks / walking family dog / jog / exercise / picnics. It's strange and a little worrying to see quite large piece of land gated off, a number of trees cut down and heavy duty plastic boars covering some of the grass. Also a little unsettling seeing guard dogs and workmen / security at night in said area. The rest of wormwood scrubs is a beautiful place, I hope that it remains a nice green area
I went there with Crazy Dog Lady London dogwalker and it is an amazing park, huge, with a massive open green area perfect for dogs but also really nice for anyone that needs some calm and breathe out the busy with environment.
Walking through mini jungle this morning 19 june 2024 7:10am was beautiful morning quite fresh breeze and small nature creatures make this incredible beautiful place. Taken over a large part by Hs2 with high court injunctions. Hope they will not damage the environment.
Beautiful park. Lots of greenery. There’s plenty of space of fun activities. Often find people chilling or walking dogs. There’s a kids park, fitness area, sports stadium and car parking available. Lucky to live local as on a sunny day everyone flocks to Hyde Park which is packed with people, this park is much quieter and peaceful.
