This Japanese garden is in Holland Park and is the main highlight. It is very small and though designed for tranquillity it is packed with tourists. The garden is immaculate and has good features. There is a heron and a nice waterfall feature. A one-way system takes you around the garden in around 5/10 minutes. There is a still pond and peacocks can be viewed. There are better gardens in London and it is only worth visiting if in the area.
Very beautiful especially in the early morning. The garden is meticulously maintained and beautifully designed, embodying the essence of traditional Japanese landscaping. The waterfall is mesmerizing, and the gentle sound of cascading water adds to the peaceful ambiance. The fish in the pond are a delight to watch, their vibrant colors shimmering in the water. Birds flit about the garden, adding life and movement to the scene. It's a fantastic spot for birdwatching, and their songs enhance the garden's tranquil atmosphere.
The Kyoto Garden is one of the Amazing places to visit in the Holland Park. It's a very nice garden with a beautifully organised landscape and trees. Can also see a peacock in there with its long tailmale. The peacock won't run or try to make discomfort itself while you try to close it and take a picture until disturbed it. Also there are some squirrels that will come to a very close distance, hence please keep some nuts while visiting the place. That will make the visit such a pleasant one.
Beautiful gardens and well maintained. Very child and dog friendly with nice places to sit and eat inside the grounds great for autumn or summer walks. Only 10mins from Holland Park tube station where you can find other amenities. So easily accessible. Look forward to going back!
A beautiful garden within Holland Park. The lush green and well maintained scenery was very calming and serene. There's a beautiful waterfall with swimming ducks, squirrels and we also spotted a peacock. I had heard about fishes but didn't spot any. Visited the garden over a weekend and it was quite busy and the public was moving slowly. The garden itself is small and could be expanded. Regardless a good to place to visit with your friends and family and a must watch if you are around Holland Park.
The park is incredibly well-designed, almost hauntingly beautiful in its layout. It’s truly a place where you can take a relaxing stroll, unwind, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, as the atmosphere was both peaceful and rejuvenating. Walking through the park felt like stepping into a serene oasis, where every corner invites you to pause and appreciate the surrounding nature. One of the highlights of this park is the sheer number of squirrels. They are everywhere, hopping from branch to branch, and dashing across the pathways. Watching them playfully leap through the trees added a sense of liveliness to the calm environment. But it’s not just the squirrels that make the park special—there’s an impressive diversity of wildlife. The koi fish in the pond at Kyotopark glided through the water with elegance, their vibrant colors contrasting beautifully against the calm surface. On the expansive lawns, I was delighted to see numerous herons, standing still and majestic as they hunted or simply observed the surroundings. In addition to the park’s natural beauty, practical amenities like free public restrooms are available, making it even easier to spend a leisurely afternoon exploring the grounds. Whether you’re there for a walk or simply to relax, this park offers a perfect escape.
Beautiful area in Holland Park to visit whilst you’re there. You’ll see a small taste of the Japanese environment with bamboo, Japanese plants and a waterfall. You also must walk around to the main waterfall and snap a picture of the beautiful surroundings Definitely worth the visit, so relaxing and there are benches so absorb the view.
The Kyoto Garden is a serene and hidden location that offers a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beautiful scenery featuring a stunning waterfall and a pond with large fishes is perfect for capturing memorable photos and unwinding in the pleasant weather. Also, peacocks can be spotted roaming around the garden, providing a unique and delightful experience. The garden is located within the premises of Holland Park, which adds to the overall experience. However, due to its popularity, there might be a queue for taking photos. To avoid crowds, it is recommended to visit the garden before noon. Absolute free entry!
