Nice big park with lots to explore and ample parking (overflow opens in the busy season). Free parking, becoming rarer at parks nowadays, makes it the perfect free day out for families. Lots of exciting things to do for kids both young and old. Nice shops with some fun styles.

Fantastic public space for most dog walkers that understand the emphasis of social dogs off leads. It would seem that McDonald's have some sort of investment in the park, the McDonald's brand can be seen across the main car parks, especially beside motor vehicles, who's drivers are displaying some sort of lanyard defining a belonging to runshaw college ....... strange... Ah well the bright red and yellow logo of McDonald's wrappers blowing across the car parks and fields do brighten dull winter walks!

Miniature steam railway is amazing. There is also a maze and large playground, and all free, although the railway deserves a donation in the box at the station. Great day out. Could do with a better café and more craft shops. The one shop that was open, Rumpus, is full of gorgeous stuff.

Great park with good amenities and a lovely cafe which allows well behaved dogs.. For dog walking there is also a dog wash situated in the car park. Every park should have one.

Lovely place to walk the dogs, there is a park for children, a pond to feed the ducks, a stream to stroll past. Love going here every Sunday morning for the fresh air and spacious fields
