Terrible arrangements. The parking area is quite big, but there is just one card payment machine and it's quite slow. Be prepared to wait in a queue to pay. There are 3 other coin machines. I called their number and the man at the other end was rude and spoke without any consideration for the customer. First, they were unapologetic, second, they had no plans to install more machines, third, they said to "go elsewhere" if one didn't like it. I will complain against them.
Reasonable priced car park £2 for 3 hours.
I go to UCLan and this car park is the cheapest one that I have found for parking all day. It is £3.75 or something like that for the whole day which is great in comparison to other car parks nearby. Edit: the price on Saturday and Sunday has now increased and is the same price as weekdays. Disappointing.
£3.70 parking for the day, for parking around the North side of Preston, great for attending UCLAN and nearby restaurants/eateries. Parking Ticket Meters don't provide change so ensure you have plenty of coins. The machine also takes Card

ATTENTION: Be careful if you are considering to park in this parking, it seems that their business are the fines and not the parking itself. Received a £100 fine after having correctly paid the amount indicated on the board for two days. Claimed the fine and was rejected. Scammers!!
Good car park, plenty of spaces and not expensive, parked there many times to nip into town
Be careful in case you intend to pay for 2 days as the machine gives only until end of day 1. They sent me a fine of £100 saying that the 2nd day was not paid... It took me a long time and effort until they cancelled the fine.
Used this car park for uni as was close to the campus 15 minute walk to SU and Library. Always a space, cheap parking tickets £3.70 for all day and permits for 3 and 12 months and staff are always friendly and helpful. But be careful in September and October as a lot of students use the car park as it offers free parking to UCLAN permit holders during these months. And the other two nearby car park Trinity Square and St Mary's are more expensive. So get there earlier if you want a space.
