Lovely little library just off Glasgow’s very own, great western road. The exterior of the library is very aesthetic, boasting a beautiful Victorian architecture and big powerful sandstone blocks. The interior too is great. There is a grand selection of well kept and interesting books on various subjects. The librarians finally, they’re sweet and good at their job. Keep up the good work Woodside library.
A gorgeous library with a top selection of books and attentive, knowledgeable staff.
This a really lovely, family friendly library in Glasgow. Situated about five minutes walk from St. George’s Cross subway station, it’s a relatively small library with a lot of good resources - it’s a bright and open space, and is always nice and relaxed. It’s got a really diverse selection of books, and are always very accommodating if you want to order a book from another Glasgow Life library. I spend a lot of time here with my 6 year old, who absolutely loves the kids section with the quirky reading spaces and fun layout - the staff are always really friendly - and good natured / patient when being harassed by a 6 year old for more colouring in pencils! There’s internet access if you need it,
great place to study. public wifi Glasgow City Council was smooth enough. the book collection is great and really very clean and well maintained area.
Fantastic old building, I loved the historical pictures of the local area in the entrance/foyer. Helpful staff and a decent selection of books. A good library
Good to see the place open again after a long time. Here's hoping the leaking roof has been sorted out!!:. Feel very nostalgic every time i visit the place as it was such an important part of my life when growing up:. Welcome back!
Used to go here daily as a child, lived right across the road from here. Friendly staff, had a good variety of books and dvds you could check out. I wonder if Jerry still works there. Jerry, if you're reading this - hello, hope you're doing great!
Been going here since I was a child... there is truly a sense of peace in the library. And the neds who once ruled this place have now moved on and no longer inhabitant it. Neds... although once annoying and to an extent, intimidating are a dying breed that we need to save and protect. The rise of the spiceboys is truly a catastrophic epidemic that none of us are prepared for. Oh yeah, good selection of books. But late fees take the piss, I owe them a score or something.
Quiet place to focus on task in hand, small facility with same amenities as other libraries in Glasgow, 4 pcs available for public use, just need a library card from any Glasgow library to log in, not the busiest library so always at least one if not all pcs available.
I just had a very bad experience with the member of staff she was very rude for just on a printout paper, she acused me and misbehaved with me like a 5 year old kid once i asked for a complaint form she totally turned change and infront of a nice lady she lied that she said this and that when she did not at all well i ignored and left without compaining but honestly i was just wondering that how some people can be frustrated just dnt wanna work or what plz any one reply if you know, over no reason she was rude this ki d of people can't help specially students who has no manners of talk.... First and last time at this library i better go hillhead or micheals are the good once
