This Library is of Strathclyde university. Which is easily reachable near the university opp. to Sports club. It's one the best libraries in the town where you can have a plethora of books. Apart from that there are 3 levels where one 4th floor is the silence place if you are alone. 3 Rd floor is quite a place where you can have chit chat if you are with groups. Apart from that you can access computers for your own work. It accommodates Starbuck for your hunger stop and cafeteria for any snacks. Explore the place you will definitely love for your studies.
I enjoy studying on the 4th floor. I reckon it's the Silent Floor, where there are no group conversations and phones are on silent, helps with that extra bit of focus but as I like nature and some sunlight, I sit by the window. You can choose from any of the 5 floors for self or group study and enjoy your time here. There's a mini shop on the ground floor where you can get coffee, hot chocolate and some delicious snacks. There is also a pitstop store around the corner for more variety of snacks, bites and drinks. You're welcome
nice place I've had a lot of exams and assignments lately and my classmates and I have been making plans to come over and study together. Studying in the library allows me to be more efficient and focused on my work than studying in my bedroom.
The university of Strathclyde library. 5 floors for both silent and group study. Cafe inside. Accessible to other students with proof of student ID
The best place to study , im really productive at it, very cooperative staff
Serene atmosphere with one of the widest selection of books and journals. They have facilities for almost everyone to make your studies as comfortable and efficient as possible. Regular fire drills are done and adequate notices are placed all around to ensure everyone is duly informed of all things important. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always there to help. Library opens till midnight or later during exams and everyday of the week.
Great academic library for quiet and group studying. Plenty of computers to use. Books are very outdated unfortunately. Food and drinks available in the canteen at the entrance.
A fantastic library. Lots of facilities and availability to study depending on your preferred study environment ie silent study/group study etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Opening hours are student friendly especially when opened 24 hours over exam period. Overall a great library and worth the journey in if you aren’t local. I can’t study successfully elsewhere!
Rude staff at entry gates. Potentially be cautious if you are/look Asian. Got accused on no grounds whatsoever of not having scanned card upon exit when I tried to enter again after lunch break and the system failed. Next time staff, please maybe suggest that the system is faulty rather than jumping to the conclusion of my responsibility? It is literally impossible to get out without scanning the card so I did not appreciate the lady's tone. It's not the first time the staff at gates is being rude on no grounds. Next time this happens I'll start to think it's because I'm Asian.
Huge library that I spent many happy and sometimes stressful times in during my student years 94-99. Was originally a printing press and warehouse building for William Collins and Sons that was built in the early 1960s, until the uni bought it in the late 1970s and converted it into a library.
