Rang the Centre about 6 pm re weeping dressing on my husbands foot, appointment not until 2 days. Nurses arrived within 20 mins, cleaned and applied new dressing even left spares! I am amazed at the speed and how professional and thorough these people are. A huge thank you.
Every time you ring up it takes forever for someone to answer the phone, and some of the receptionists have an attitude problem very unprofessional
I am about to leave the area and so also this practice and I wanted to write a review before I do, especially given that most people only make the effort to review a doctors surgery to complain. My family have been patients of this practice for around four years and have found them to be wonderful. They are compassionate, sensible, organised and fair. I have found them especially good at dealing with children. Appointments were always available, even during the first lockdown. Don’t believe the BBC; GPs have worked all through the pandemic. You can get a face to face appointment here if needed, I’ve also had appointments over the phone, which was more convenient for me. The staff at this surgery are doing so well in a underfunded and overstretched system. I hope I can find such a good surgery down South. Many thanks.
Took granddaughter for urgent appointment . Was seen by Emma Physician associate. She was very professional had great rapport with our granddaughter who is only 11 months old nd conducted a thorough medical assessment in a friendly professional manner . She was very reassuring and would like to post this review to express our thanks and appreciation at a difficult time for NHS workers .
I am absolutely disgusted at the lack of care given by a particular doctor at this practice. I requested overnight care and a hospital bed for my dying mother who was found dead after she tried to get out of bed to use a commode on her own. Her arm was stuck in a small bed rail and she was found slumped down side of her bed , dead. I begged the doctor for overnight care as I couldn’t stay overnight myself and the doctor said “she won’t get overnight care as she is not on a medication driver and is nowhere near that stage yet” she died that night!! . He was very uncaring and didn’t support my mum or myself at all in her final days before she died. Absolutely disgusted with this doctor
Absolutely horrific, been here for just over a year as I moved house but I’m in the process of finding somewhere else as I’ve actually avoided getting appointments here because I’d rather just live with an issue rather than show my face here. Just over a year ago during Covid I called up about a very embarrassing medical condition which I thought was very simple and easily fixed, apparently not. I was told over the phone what the medical condition was and instantly started crying as I was highly concerned, I received no empathy or compassion I was just told to come into the practice and they would see me then, eventually I went in and was made to wait outside in the pouring rain for 25 mins making me 25 mins late to the appt, eventually I was invited in and told to wait in a waiting room, I waited a further 15 mins for a nurse or what I assumed to be a nurse come into the room, no greeting or hello or introduction as to who she was, she just told me to get on the bed and remove my clothing, I was crying at this point because I was so worried about what she was going to tell me, she watched me undress and gave me no coveringcouch roll for my modesty. She stood a metre away from me glanced for about 3 seconds and confirmed it was what we thought it was and told me to get dressed and that someone would call me regarding treatment in a few hours and left the room. I lay there unclothed crying with no information just embarrassed, upset and very degraded. When she called me hours later about the condition, she didn’t have any information at all and when asked a question she told me to hold on a minute while she googled it then proceeded to read from a google article.I did receive treatment but I went private and payed for my treatment and that’s because I would never ever go back to this place after the service I received on that day. The lady was absolutely vile and doesn’t deserve her job, I’ve never been made to feel so low in my life and wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy, driving past the surgery gives me chills as I remember the awful experience here. The receptionist staff are very unprofessional and would rather drink tea and gossip behind their desks than help you with any query’s and everyone I know who are with the surgery are very unpleased with it. Would highly suggest you don’t go here as it’ll go down in my books as one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.
Dealt with this surgery on behalf of my elderly mother and everything is hard work. They don't explain things fully, leading to confusion on the most simplest of situations. Reception constantly give inaccurate information. My mother now basically refuses to contact them which is far from ideal. Just atrocious.
Reception staff extremely rude and unprofessional.
The doctors in this practice are very proactive and in my experience, refer any health concerns very quickly. All the doctors I have seen are very pleasant, as are the reception staff and health professionals, who use the centre.
The doctors are great,have helped me enormously,but the receptionists are a different matter. Had one receptionist, Louise,whispering about me to another receptionist,dreadful behaviour.
