Woodbridge Inn
"The Woodbridge is situated on the banks of the River Severn, a mile downstream from Ironbridge in Shropshire. There are lots of interesting corners and nooks to squirrel away in, or more open, buzzy areas if you're in a more gregarious mood. For sunny days, we have a large terrace and extensive gardens on the banks of the river."

We stopped here for lunch after a local walk. It’s in a really picturesque spot by the river. In fact I don’t know if it’s the river that makes the pub pretty or the other way around! As with most B&P establishments, the menu is a bit more upmarket to most pubs and the quality that got delivered did not disappoint. Dog friendly with open fires and plenty of seating makes it a really relaxed atmosphere. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. A basket of board games and even a basket of reading glasses makes this a place you feel you should snuggle down and enjoy for a while. No pub review should go without mentioning the loo - they were immaculate and I thought the locally produced hand soap and hand cream was a really nice touch. Today was a first visit but I will definitely be back again. I just have to find another walking route to try!
A beautiful location, we had a fantastic lunch with great service. Ended up having 3 courses because it was so nice. Waiting staff were attentive and friendly. One small annoyance for me, and I say this as someone who likes dogs, but uncontrolled dogs in a restaurant I don’t like. I blame the owner not the establishment.
Its main features are the surroundings and the river right next to the inn. Nice historic photos hanging up inside with a bit of history. There is no table service and have to take your order to them. We were a big table of 8 and the food was ok I wouldn't order the buttered chicken burger as it seemed nicer in words then what I actually got as the chicken was dry but at least I could get salad instead of chips. The fish and chips is what you should order that was much nicer. The staff are friendly.
Took my partner here for his birthday lunch yesterday. We had cappuccinos, Thai fish cakes, the open prawn sandwich, and fish & chips. Food was delicious, especially the fish and chips with delightful mint mushy peas and chunky chips the way they should be made! It was a beautiful day and we had a lovely view of the River Severn and Bridge. Check these photos. It was the best lunch I've had in Telford - I will be revisiting to try out their weekend breakfast.
Amazing place, great choice of food. We'll made and very tasty. Staff very polite and welcoming. I would definitely recommend
The food was lovely. The service was friendly but a little slow given how busy it was. Lovely atmosphere and area around the pub. Would visit again.
Delicious food with fantastic customer service, the staff eager to chat and build rapport with us and show humour while delivering our food promptly. The building itself and overall atmosphere was lovely and just provided a memorable experience with my family. Thank you
So glad we found this place, fantastic menu set in a wonderful location with fabulous views over the River Severn. Lovely friendly staff with great service, the food we’ve had has been exquisite! Lovely and cosy inside with a log fire and lots of tables to eat outside in the summer! Dog friendly as well for an added bonus, we will definitely be back!
Think this is in the wrong place but the Woodbridge in Coalport is very nice
A lovely place, overlooking the river and with views of the picturesque bridge. Food was very nice - we had the King prawn and chorizo and the crispy chilli beef salads, both very tasty. Will definitely visit again!
