This was the first official Country Park in Britain, opened in 1973. The walk along the cliff tops overlooking the Dee estuary with North Wales in the distance is spectacular. Great place for a picnic too.
Very pleasant walk with my toy poodle, Holly. We met lots of friendly people... would recommend walking boots or wellies though due to mud and a big towel to wrap your dog in when you get back to the car. Free parking as well at the moment.... another reason I went there today.
Lovely walks, been many a times before. Shame the overflow car parks weren't open as it was like bedlam trying to get a spot! Especially during the current restrictioms, more people are out for walks as can't do anything inside so seemed strange the extra car parks weren't open
Fab place. It's a lovely place for a picnic with the kids @ a breath of fresh air thrown in for free. Would definately recommend this place but bring your walking boots or Wellington if it's been raining. Great day had by all including the dog.
This is a lovely place to visit, and great for dogs. The Wirral path can become congested with cyclists, so bear that in mind if you have dogs, but I got there early about 8.30, on a Sunday morning and find it to be lovely and quiet for the most part. The cafe is great too, and dog friendly.
Out in the countryside and views across the peninsula to Wales. Picnic and barbecue area. Beautiful part of Wirral.
Good day today down on the Wirral way
A great place for walking and cycling. Nice views too.
