Great place for a nice walk out along this cliff or the beach is safe. The cafe has Toilets and Is a good price, also has a kids area inside. The beach is Dog Friendly.
Nice place to visit. Beautiful views to see. Cheap family day out if you live local and are taking a picnic or planning on having a BBQ. You have access to the Wirral Way and you have Thurstaston visitors centre on the doorstep that has a cafe, toilets, indoor kids play area and you can also hire a bike for the day. Also the caravan and motorhome club is a few yards away for touring. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcomed but wise to keep them on the lead due to the falling rock that is crumbling away from the cliff area and the tide comes in very fast when it's tide time coming in. Picnic area: Lots of outdoor space to have a picnic. Where the Thurstaston visitor centre is there are bricked BBQ stations that the public can use with picnic table and bench next to them.
Great place especially on a lovely sunny day with plenty of walking with the dog on the beach and pathways on the top.clear views across to rhyll etc and when the tide is out plenty of runaround for your dog. Couple of eating joints on the park and another just up the road on station road called the 'nest'. Plenty of parking but fills up quickly and is pay and display not sure how much as i couldn't get on as i went in the afternoon so i parked at the nest cafe for free. Plenty of food , drink and ice cream even for the dogs. Toilets available.
Stunning large park area. Beautiful and picturesque views, a good walking path and barbecue areas with tables in the picnic area, and a cafe at the moment it was closed, but I think because it's probably winter, and it opens closer to summer by the lake with ducks . It has excellent facilities and is dog friendly. There are many benches scattered around the park to relax, where you can admire stunning views of the beach and even the sunset. From here you can walk down to the beach and walk along the shoreline and numerous trails. There is a cycle path to West Kirby or Neston where you can even walk. Spent a wonderful day at Thurstaston Beach. We managed to go for a walk before sunset; it was excellent warm weather without rain or wind. A great place to spend a day with the family, with lots to explore, from lovely countryside walks to walks along the beach. We heard that there is a visitor information center with toilets, but we didn’t need it and didn’t understand where it was. There is ample paid parking.
Natural beautiful nature on your doorstep. Half an hour from Liverpool city centre.
Wirral Country Park is an incredible place to spend time outdoors, especially with family. I went there with my 6-year-old, and we both had a fantastic day. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the hill, taking in the breathtaking views that are both great and relaxing. My child loved kicking the ball around on the open field, which was perfect for a bit of fun and exercise. The park offers a beautiful combination of peaceful walks, stunning scenery, and open spaces for play. It’s a perfect spot for families looking to enjoy nature together!
A scenic loop route, with beautiful sea views, walk on the beach in one direction and loop around through the Wirral Way Trail for green ecology. Stop at Thurstaton Cafe for lunch and toilet.
love wirral country park, it has everything, family and dog friendly cafe, history, beautiful views, a visitor centre selling drinks snacks, ice creams and gorgeous walks.. Dog-friendliness: dogs very welcome, on lead in certain areas Picnic area: barbecue areas and plenty of seating in different locations
Beautiful views of the river along a very clean beach . Lots of good walking routes with plenty of birds and other wildlife. Not forgetting the picnic benches, barbecue areas, cafe and toilets! Oh yes it's not too far from the shops and railway station at West Kirkby with a direct walking route! It is nicer than I've made it sound! Restrooms: Very clean and well maintained. Dog-friendliness: Ideal place for dogs to bring their owners! Picnic area: Lots of picnic benches and barbecue areas.
Terrific area of natural beauty. This strip of parkland and estuary is an essential place to visit. From the car park about a £1 an hour card only! you are about a minute away from the visitor centre. This has excellent facilities, and is all dog friendly. From here you can get down to the beach, walk numerous trails in the country park, or even follow the disused railway line. There's bike hire and numerous picnic areas with bbq facilities. Highly recommended!!
