The house where the great man was brought up. Good collection of portraits and articles about him with an exhibition regarding slavery on the first floor. It's a good museum but I was a little disappointed that the recreation of a slave ship is no longer there. That has a real impact on me as your kid, it should still be there

Nice little bit of local history, very educational but I wouldn't say it's a place for young kids. Mine are 4 and 7 and got bored quickly, although all kids are different!

You could spend hours just browsing through the museum. Very fascinating!

nice place to learn some history. Not for young kids. My son is 2.5 years and he was bored a bit.

Fascinating place to visit. You need lots of time to absorb all the information. No entry cost. It might be worth having researched him before you go to fully appreciate all the information.
