I went to Wickes to buy loft insulation and was quite surprised at the prices and the stock they carry. It was comparatively priced and with the 10% trade discount - it was really worth the effort. They carry a lot of paints and accessories, tiles and laminates, ready to take kitchen cabinets as well as bespoke designed kitchens. Wickes sells both internal and external wood, decking materials, doors, roofing materials as well as sand, gravel and cement. For the home DIY enthusiast there is a range of products and accessories as well. I walked out a happy customer:-
Standard Wickes store, stock was at good levels during my visit but staff were helpful and courteous. Only frustration is separation of screws etc into respective application stock areas tricky if you're stocking screws etc for multiple projects. Make note if you visit multiple times - ANPR carpark enforcement may use 1st entry & last exit to chance a PCN
Had a bathroom designed by this store. They designed and delivered the wrong panel for the shower and when I went into store to get this sorted as it was their mistake which they admitted and they asked me to pay for a new panel. Absolutely horrible service. Don't go
Very very bad experience using this store since 2012 never came across with such a bad experience went to pick up a bag of cement fork lift driver and other bloke was filling up section I asked the fork lift guy how long you will take to finish he was initially helpful said will take some time I was in rush went near him when he was on forklift he said to me loudly you know you can't come near forklift to be fair point if view he was right but I was not near forklift at all very rude behaviour and bully guy and then he tried to wind me up o can I get you this and that he was really annoying and big mouthy thinking of him self something planning to send official complain have receipt what I bought Customers are most important for this sort of business really feel bad with today's experience totally disgusted with today's incident . We contacted Wickes to look at a new kitchen, and Marius came to our house to discuss options and then review these at length in store with him. Marius was very helpful, and flexible around what we were after while providing very useful feedback/recommendations. Thank you Marius
Had really unpleasant experience at Wickes Slough brunch. Basically we went to this store to buy one specific item, got the last one there but as we were about to head to the till a staff came up to us and told us we cannot buy it as someone else just bought it with "click&collect." He took the item away from us and told us to come to the store again to buy this product when the stock comes back. We asked when that would be but he wasn't sure so just told us to keep an eye on their website to check the availability. I understand that it's not the staff's fault and it's their system's fault but don't they have any respect for customers who are already at the store? Can they just take an item away from a customer like that? It was really annoying experience especially because we made a trip to the store to buy that item only so we just ended up buying nothing and wasting our time visiting the shop.
Make sure you have a spare half a day, the check out here is so slow I can feel myself ageing as I wait.. No joke its like this every single time I come.. As you can see the woman is on her phone..
I always find myself queuing at Wickes and do wonder why it takes so long. Last week the lady serving behind the till was on a video call at the same time as serving me. She was busy talking away. This is no way to treat a customer.
Very good indeed Does exactly what it says on the tin
Did go here to get my loft panels, really good place and price.
