WH Smiths staff are great. The Post Office Staff are unhelpful, and rude. I wanted to send three different small parcels to various locations and needed help to choose the best ways of posting them. I was told by the counter member of staff that she no longer did parcels and I would have to use the self scan machines. I walked out and took my parcels to a more friendly post office where they were glad of my custom and advised me of the best ways of sending them.
Visited this branch on Friday 14/08/2020 to post multiple items through Royal Mail. The gentleman who was helping with the automated machines was an absolute legend and a massive help. He even spotted a mistake I had made with putting the wrong label on the wrong parcel due to similar post codes. I don't know his name but if the store managers read these and can find out who it is, please pass on my massive thanks to him!
Good range of magazines, books and stationery but it is on the expensive side compared to supermarkets and cheaper places like The Works. Self service checkouts are handy to save waiting as long to pay.
Very dark inside and hardly any staff around, want even sure it was open at first.. The main till was closed so had to go to the other end of the store and self check out. Not a huge selection of books either compared to other WHSmith stores.
Very Friendly Staff. Very helpful big shop hadn't been there before didn't know where the books I was looking for were. Asked and they were only to happy to show me straight away
Advertisement in newspaper paper offering free childrens book. When I gave my voucher in the staff new nothing about it so no books available. Other customers experienced this too. Not good customer service at all
Nice large store for a change. These days they seem to be making the stores smaller, just look at the abomination the Manchester city centre store has become. But with every WHSmiths it’s far too expensive for the things you are actually looking for from such a shop.
Stationery, books, films, music and also magazines covering every topic you can imagine. They occasionally have some massive price reductions on slightly older edition books too, e.g. 80% off some!
Plenty of books & magazine choices available.Has price match honour on books plus 10% voucher if you find cheaper at other store.stationery bit pricey.
