White Lion Inn

I was looking for a pub with parking so I could take my 91 year old nan for lunch. Spotted the white lion from the bridge and got a spot outside for parking but I believe there is a car park. It was quiet and I also had my 19 month old with me but we were made welcome straight away. We were given a lovely spot overlooking the river which my nan loved. Prices were good, given the location they could probably charge more. It was a great meal we both had scampi and chips and the tartar sauce was the best I've had I'm pretty sure it must have been homemade. My son also ate all of his fish fingers and chips so a thumbs up from him too! Nice chap who tended to us, will definitely be visiting again in the summer for a cold glass of wine in the beer garden when I'm that way.

Great pub, fantastic river views, mouth watering food and very friendly staff. Proprietors are extremely welcoming. Warm fire in winter and great outside eating and drinking area in the summer. The building has real history. Definitely worth a visit when in Ross.

This is in a lovely position overlooking the river Wye and has seating both inside and out,which is idyllic on a warm summer day. It wasn't too busy when we went( December!), but still had a good few people there.We enjoyed a lovely roast dinner, which was well cooked and a delicious assortment of veggies. The staff were helpful and the food good.

Friendly staff, beautiful location, good selection of beers, I didn't eat but lots of people were which is always a good sign

Lovely place to have a Sunday lunch and a pint.Great home cooked food,friendly atmosphere and great location with views across the river.
