Orles Barn Hotel

Highly recommend this place. Great room, comfy bed, clean bathroom and lovely bar with open fire.

I booked this through Laterooms for our wedding anniversary more than a month before the date. The day before our stay I was contacted to be told that there would be a disco until midnight and that our table booking would not be as expected. Hardly the stuff of romantic evenings. I was also told that they had been trying to contact me by phone for the previous two weeks. My phone log shows that no calls were received from Orles Barn until the day before the reservation. Furthermore no messages were left. No email were sent. Interestingly enough though, it is not possible to cancel the reservation after 48 hours before the reservation, at which point their messages miraculously started to get through. Orles Barn decided to both accept my cancellation and take the money from my account anyway. It is quite clear that this organisation does not give a stuff about its customers. I would have been a returning customer had they attempted to handle this an a satisfactory way. Their behaviour was completely unacceptable. If I could leave negative stars for totally appalling customer service I would.

Was looking forward to a luxury night away but was very disappointed, i booked bridal suite and was given a different bridal suite so i enquired about this and we were moved to the room we were expecting....unfortunately it needs work doing on it...carpets very stained...greasy looking stains on wall and bathroom wall....grouting on floor tiles has broken away leaving rough edges...very basic bathroom not very clean...paper in bedroom has been peeled off in places with a piece hanging off....not what id expect from a bridal suite!! Restaurant is not good...very basic...needs a lot of work doing to it...breakfast was awful....dried up baked beans and sausages were very undercooked in the middle so i was unable to eat breakfast....and for the price i paid i didnt expect to do it myself!! Extremely unhappy with our experience!!
