Great pub friendly staff inexpensive pity they don't serve food

Nice pub but not a fan of new management. 4-5 customers every time i go past and does not feel like the pub it was 2 years ago

4 of us went yesterday to have a meal .we have 2 small dogs .I asked if dogs are welcome .the manage said I WILL ALLOW IT TODAY BUT AFTER THAT THAT'S IT. In front of customers ,we were so embarrassed we turned round and went to the royal hotel.

A good sports bar, plenty of room for groups, good prices and a handy location.

Dropped in for lunch and sampled the steak, Guinness and mushroom pie with chips and peas (pictured). A pleasant surprise - freshly cooked, meaty and full of flavour! For £6.95 a go not bad at all! The "Doombar" beer was first rate too. Worth a visit for a change. Service pretty good and staff friendly.
