If you are like Mr Doyle and Jones, check what the facilities are according to the place you are going to and not what the canoe people say, the parking IS FREE when you book in at the pub. Is was brought in because the people enjoying the pub had NO PARKING because of others who don't care. Great place

Beware of the parking scam, we collected our son & some of his friends from this place after a canoeing trip, this was on advise from the company he had booked the trip with, despite the place looking rather tired we decided to have lunch whilst we waited, the place was really shabby inside & the food was very poor but it served a purpose. The only good thing was the location which sadly is ruined by this Cowboy parking scam they have chosen to adopt. I along with other people who have left reviews strongly suggest you give this establishment a wide berth, there are lots of nice places to eat in Ross on Wye.

Beware. Parking Scam is in full effect at this establishment. We were told if we ate there we could park for free. 2 weeks later a fine for £100. Sent off receipts to prove that we were eating in the pub at the time but our appeal has been deemed unsuccessful. Do yourself a favour when you see this place and drive straight past.
