Such a lovely, local pub! Nice people, friendly staff and a great variety of ale and beer! A great place to go in Bristol if you want a chilled out atmosphere and good ale!
The White Lion remains a proudly traditional pub which means more 'spit 'n sawdust' and less chain fake pub. That brings it a charm of its own. Good selection of real ales and whilst not themost spacious of public houses, this does mean that every visit is quite 'intimate'. If you are not feeling intimact, then seating spills out onto the pavement area should that be preferred. A dying breed these days so support and enjoy whilst you still can.
First visit for many years, but still maintains it's old character, and with a good selection of ales, cider and spirits.A quaint spiral metal staircase leads down to the gents toilet, and it's upstairs to the ladies.Welll worth a visit.
Nice bar staff and clientele. Selection of real ale beers not wonderful, only weak stuff. Still worth a visit.
I know of few pubs with so much character, and being in the centre you never know what to expect. The locals are friendly, the staff are fantastic, and it’s reasonably priced for central Bristol. The perfect place for a quick drink while passing through town!
This is a very small pub but it was a lovely evening so we sat outside, beer good!
Friendly pub, reasonably priced drinks. Watch out for the spiral staircase down to the gents !
Tiniest, wee-est pub I've ever frequented .... Toilets are downstairs, you'll need to navigate a winding staircase that is tight....if yer my size....am no called Slim coz am a supermodel ....but I managed to widdle and get back to ground level
Good pub serving real ale.. small but well formed and has outside seating... Interesting stairs to the gents and I am told that the ladies have excellent leather seats in their area for a little chinwag time should it be needed.
Cracking wee pub, great atmosphere when ever I've visited, always top notch tunes on the jukebox and excellent ales.
