Really neat little place to stop by for a pint and some great dishes after a walk! I had the disco fries which I would 100% recommend. Stellar atmosphere, had ample parking even on a Saturday afternoon. Super friendly staff as well. The parasols in the beer gardens could use some base weights to stop them moving around when it gets windy though
What an amazing pub. The food and drink were just brilliant and there was a really wide range. The ale was well kept and at a perfect temperature. The staff are exceptional. They were so good with with our group and made us feel really welcome. I'll be going back for sure. Thanks again to all the team for such a lovely visit.
We used The White Horse for our Church wedding reception in August 2022 and they were brilliant! The day was absolutely perfect and the feedback that we had from the guests was amazing. The staff allowed us to decorate a lot of the areas in the pub which made the venue nice and personal. The barstaff were brilliant and the food buffet provided by the Chefs was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much to the White Horse team, we would 100% recommend!
Lovely pub, friendly bar staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered food and sat outside but after 40 minutes there was no sign of it. We then prompted the BBQ chef who didn't seem to be doing anything and suddenly there was a flurry of activity. Initially we were annoyed as it didn't seem busy and we put it down to a lack of communication between bar and kitchen. Anyway, without prompting, the manager came with our food, apologised, gave us one of our burgers for free and shouted us a round of drinks as a gesture of goodwill. It just goes to show. It's not about the mistakes. It's how they are handled, and this was handled beautifully. And the food was great pictured is the unbelievably meaty vegan burger. We'll certainly be back again.
Stopped off spontaneously whilst driving back home - super glad we made that decision. Ordered the ‘Moo and Blue’ burger which went down a treat, lovely restaurant area away from the bar to settle down and enjoy lunch. Chips were on point.
Amazing food and staff made me and my friend feel so welcome. Highly recommended for those long for a pup with excellent food
Great food and drink. Limited pub menu. We had fish and chips, the fish size was large and the prices reasonable. Batter a little greasy but otherwise perfect. I had a nice pint of stout and her ladyship a dry wine. Generally pleased, very friendly staff and a nice pub.
Updated for July 2021 - Friendly staff, quick table service and good food selection. Cheesey chunky chips were amazing, see pics. Lots of gluten free options too, inc. burgers and chips. Brixton lager on tap is different and fun, though would have preferred maybe their IPAs to the light lagunitas one on tap.
Nice old pub that's recently been renovated inside. Ok selection of beer. Owner was unfriendly and short, service at bar was very poor.
Came for a Sunday roast and was really disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered two roast beef, and sent them both back I would not of dished the meat up to my dog let alone a customer. The meat was full with arteries and Sinews by the time they replaced our meals the veg was cold. Definitely won’t be going back.
