Fantastic 2 night stay for 6 of us. Penthouse and deluxe rooms were beautiful. Superb breakfast both mornings, as was dinner on two consecutive evenings in a freshly decorated bar and restaurant area. All the team members we encountered were so helpful and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel. Thank you and keep up the great work.
A really lovely historic hotel, which was really well presented and clean. The staff were friendly and the room that we rented was the "Penthouse", a huge room with lovely bathroom and massive bed. Would have given a 5 star review except the breakfast slightly let them down. Note to anyone staying on a Saturday night - the abbey and local church bells are quite loud on a Sunday morning. Lovely stay, will book again in the future.
came for Sunday lunch as a big group and it was excellent. lovely choices for all types of diners including vegetarian, vegan and those with allergies, plus a great selection for those who enjoy meat and fish too. service was quick, attentive and polite. Food & drinks: excellent- great quality and choice for all of our party, at surprisingly low prices.
I stayed here for a few nights while visiting friends in Romsey. My room papillon was incredible, I felt like a queen! Everything about the hotel was clean, well decorated, and the staff were very kind and helpful my entire stay. While waiting to check in, I sat in the restaurant for 3 hours and had a leisurely lunch and coffee delicious. Highly recommend the restaurant. I can't wait to come back to The White Horse!
We had a lovely pre-Christmas family lunch at the White Horse. Not been here for a while, but was pleasantly surprised with the decor and updated interior. We were a party of 8 including 2 young children. The service was excellent as was the food. We will certainly be back.Location: 5/5
Went here for afternoon tea as a group of 5 had pre-booked, lovely cosy setting. Unfortunately, like most places, they are struggling with staff and the guy serving was new and this was evident. We did have to wait a long time for our afternoon tea as he served the wrong table first, but we were offered free prosecco by one of the supervising staff and our bill was discounted. The afternoon tea itself was OK, but it was definitely not worth the original £20. The food pictured was for 2 people- quite stingy compared to other afternoon teas I've had. My rating reflects the fact they adjusted our bill due to the service/food. I hope they can sort out their staffing issues!
Amazing stay courtesy of my friend we were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise! The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Cocktails are fab and breakfast was so chilled and the food was off the chart! Thankyou for a wonderful stay, will be coming again xx
There's a great coffee shop at the front of the hotel. Good atmosphere and tasty cakes. At Christmas time it looked magical, warm and very welcoming.
We just had our wedding here and the Service from the all the staff involved in the planning, set up and execution was exemplary, the food was on point and covered all our guest's dietary requirements. Cannot say enough good things, my wife and I and our guests had a fantastic weekend.Rooms: 4/5
Absolutely lovely hotel. I stayed here for business last weekend and I had a lovely room, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful especially Russell the general manager and the Sunday roast was to die for!! 10/10 highly recommend!
