Haven't been here in a while and I understand that it has changed hands. The front of house staff were friendly and helpful and, as two of us in our lunch group of three are Gluten intolerant, there was plenty of choice on the menu for us. There is a separate Gluten free menu but choices are marked on the lunch menu as well. I was pleased to see that some of the choices on the main menu are also dairy free or vegan. I am also dairy intolerant so that helped. The desserts looked delicious and quite a few were Gluten free but not dairy free except for vegan vanilla ice-cream. My companions had the chocolate sundae which looked lush and sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream which I was assured was delicious. Not being able to have a dessert is, sadly, all too frequent when you are Gluten and dairy free so, in that respect, the Mill Arms are on a par with the majority of places. The choices of main courses on the Gluten free main menu almost made up for no dessert but not quite! However, if you have no dietary requirements, a trip to the Mill Arms will be a lovely treat!
Smashing country pub with great staff and an imaginative menu with lots of specials. We were made to feel very welcome and didn't have to wait long for food even though there was a large party elsewhere in the pub. Easy walking distance from Mottisfont Abbey.Service: 5/5
Had a " quick " lunch at Mills Arms. Ordered Surf and Turf. One of the best I ever had! As a desert I had a Apple and Berry crumble with custard. Delicious! Great service by Sian and Vicky and well done to the chef! Highly recommend!
Good Sunday roast lunch, generous portions, lots of veg, delicious crackling. Excellent service with a smile.Service: 5/5
Only visited this place for a very small amount of time due to attending a convention. The staff couldn't of been more accommodating, even offering to save us food when they found out we would be arriving late. The bar looked amazing and we wish we had time to have a drink. Breakfast was second to non, even bringing a big jug of apple juice when our family asked if it was OK for us to have a second round, you don't see that often! We will go out of our way to stay here in the future and enjoy all it has to offer.
The Mill is a real find in a beautiful location and with a railway station just 50 yards away! I had a gluten free Sunday lunch with piles of beef and pork, masses of fresh vegetables and Gravy. I was full! And all for £15. Washed down with a pint of cider - a perfect English Sunday afternoon. Go if you can, I really can't fault the place - and they have an attractive conservatory and a great garden too. Lovely staff round off a great visit. I'll be back soon!
Good food at keen prices. Service was suitably unhurried; we didn't have to call a waitress over, but we were able to chat over our meal without feeling rushed. Front car park was nearly full; I gather there's more parking behind? I didn't check that.Service: 5/5
