Staff fantastic, super helpful, beer and food great, let down by room, furnished with rail made from iron pipe fittings and bits of scaffolding board. No wardrobe, no chest of drawers, be prepared to live out of your suitcase, queried why friends who paid same amount for room but theirs was downstairs, they had wardrobe etc, told it was compensation for being slightly noisy as near bar. As our room was directly over restaurant, I can vouch ours was definitely noisy. The other thing of note our wet dirty towels were rolled up and placed on bed whilst we were out giving the appearance of fresh towels, strange to put wet towels on bed. As I said staff were lovely it was just the room
Took a friend here, have eaten here before always good food and service. Friend wanted an omelette, not on the menu but the chef produced it , she said it was the nicest she had had! Tina and the staff all in good humour and helpful. See you again soonService: 4/5
Invited to a special do next door in their skittle room. Beer good, service fairly good, food was fine too. Car park stacked out. In fairness we arrived in the dark so never saw the outside garden. We went in the main pub in error, it was very busy too.Rooms: 4/5
Arrived here for my father in laws 60 birthday. Menu looked great as we booked. Walked in to a nice vintage style pub. We had booked a table online and we’re seated promptly. Usual drinks order taken. Faultless. Menus and allergen information. My wife has a nut allergy. All catered for. The food took about 20 ish minutes to come out. Which is normal. Incredible food. We all had something different and it was phenomenal. Desert was incredible and I personally had my starter at the same time. As I was the only one to have a started. Literally nothing was too much trouble. I can wait to come back here for another go. I like a good sized portion and they were all big and filling. We were served Sam. It was the best pub meal I have had in years!! Please give my complements to the chef also!! Thanks again.
Stayed for one night so we can take the kids to peppa pig park the next day. Room was clean and comfortable, lovely garden for kids to play in. Dinner was good. Other staff are friendly but the lady at the bar was very cranky for some reason, so service could be better. Breakfast, although Included, took almost one hour to arrive! This waiting time is too long for young kids.
Had a lovely meal unfortunately we did not book. They did have a space for two and warned us we may have to wait but it was not for the meal. Good meal pad choi was slightly over cooked but over all really good. Service was good and polite staff.
My wife book the Mortimer Arms for my sons birthday following a visit to Peppa Pig world. It did not disappoint, the food and service was spectacular. Alisha, who took us to our seats, initially a table for three but too small, we asked for another and she quickly gave us a bigger table, throughout the night she was brilliant. It was our son birthday and she organised the cake for us and plates. Highly recommend, great service and food!
Excellent Place to go for a meal or drink, as well as to stay, staff are more than happy to help where they can and go that extra mile to ensure your visit is memorable, hats off to the owners and staff, including kitchen staff, great bunch of people, will be returning!
Service very good, friendly team from check in to restuarant. Food for dinner and breakfast was excellent and good ambience. Room a bit cluttered, and room size prevents wardrobe or anywhere to put towels etc. On bed on arrival and nowhere to put afterwards. Clean alnd tidy. Biggest problem to me....no bath. Nothing better than a good soak when aching from fishing all day. Seems no rooms have baths so I probably won't stay again despite staffs best efforts.
Great stop off point rather than relying on the very average services on the M27! Lovely lunch with my aunt on the way back from Ringwood.Hotel highlightsGreat value
