Visited in early Sept and was able to get a seat w/o a booking. The staff were very helpful and they are taking caution with covid, providing sanitizer and ensuring social distancing. The vibe is a bit different w/o the live music, but it is good to see places like this picking back up.
Great night @Whistleblinkies, better is the whiskey and live music of course. The bar is in a basement, but there is a great ambient, a lot of groups, friends and fun. The only advice, please, try not to go in there wearing your jogging pants, they won't let you in.
Great pub with a varied drinks menu, friendly staff, chilled atmosphere and good music.
Cool place if you like the scene. Spacious but not overly big. Quick service and central location - 10sec of the royal mile
If you're looking for live music in the Royal Mile area this won't let you down as there's music on every night. Nice spacious area near stage and some small cubby holes if you're looking for a quieter area to sit and chat. We were lucky to have a decent band on when we went and enjoyed our time here!

Happened upon this bar during open mic night, awesome experience! Friendly staff, good beer selection, decent atmosphere! Was enjoyed by all our group.
Went here by accident and it turned out to be an inspired choice. Great live music venue. 2 bands, the first band till 12 and next till 2am. Lovely crowd here on the night we went, all age groups, students to middle age . They also serve a great pint of Carlsberg. Plenty of room for dancing to the great music.
Great friendly staff. Incredible live music. So glad we came here! Will definitely be back tomorrow lol
