Short overnight stay, convenient for our friends location. A little difficult to lock the door to the room, solved after some trial and error. Beds very comfortable, bathroom small and very! hot! Movement in the room above very clear with squeaky floor boards which, with a little work could easily be sorted. Good breakfast. Overall a good value for money experience.
Visiting with friends I was very pleasantly surprised. They had been several times before. The food was good, and portions were generous and served hot. Good attentive service and reasonable prices. Booking is a must as I think it would become quite busy. A very enjoyable experience.Service: 5/5
Didn't use a room so no rating there. Good menu that was inexpensive. Service was a bit slow but it was lunchtime at a popular pub! Recommended. Service: 4/5
Most of the team are awesome here. The incredible fish and chips makes this place a top 5 rating. Also helps that we walk through woodland to get here.Service: 4/5
Had a wonderful weekend lovely room good food friendly staff and customers would definitely book again.Rooms: 5/5
We had a wonderful 3 day stay and loved the inn. Everyone was kind and helpful - starting with Sam, who greeted us warmly and checked us in. The breakfast each morning was delicious, as was dinner. The pub side was packed with people and it is obviously a much loved community gathering place. Our room was quiet and comfortable and the tub huge! The town is quaint and beautiful, and we found lots to do. We rode the Bluebell Steam Railway nearby and travelled to the stunning Seven Sisters Sea cliffs. We even saw one of the famous white horses on a hill near the cliffs! We would love to come back again! Thank you all for a very pleasant stay!
I’m writing this review for no other reason but to warn people. The “manager” at this place , Rob, attitude and customer service skills is absolutely disgusting. From the way he was talking to his staff to how he deals with customers including me I’m not quite sure how this man works in hospitality??? Never met a man so entitled. Have been here previously and always a good experience and food always nice, shame it worked out the way it did…
Walls in the rooms are a little thin. We could hear the guy next door snoring Lovely staff and great service. Ham sandwiches and breakfast were really nice Rooms: 4/5
Good service, in the pub and accommodation area. Accommodation is good and comfortable. There are plenty of car park spaces.
It's a lovely pub, food is great. Bedrooms could do with updating, overall had a great night there.Rooms: 4/5
