Had a lovely meal with a friend for a catch-up. The football was on, but the sports bar was separated from the restaurant which meant we could talk. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the Christmas centerpieces were a nice touch! Definitely recommend.

Have been for a few meals here. Always good. Different Sussex beers on. Didn’t manage to play any bar billiards as a “team” rocked up and took over!
Excellent lunch experience. Really friendly service and great tasting food. The pulled pork burger is amazing and the sticky toffee pudding a treat. No faults, they just did everything right. Good parking too.
Once again, the service is as good as ever, turning up with 5 adults 2 chldren in the hope of sampling unannounced. The friendly staff took that in their stride, seating us straight away. The adults and kids were sorted without difficulties with food & drinks. My favourite Sussex Smokie with rustic bread, was woofed down, all were impressed with this pub, unknown to all but me.
Extensive lunch menu plus specials board with lots of choice. Very well presented and tasty food. Lovely atmosphere and service. Highly recommended.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, food is very good, and portion sizes are very generous.There is a limited amount of parking plus disabled spaces.
Obviously, don't expect a Michelin type elaborated dish here. You get a cosy vibe, tidy and clean installations, friendly and efficient service, and indeed really good home made food. The only thing I could think one might be missing in this pub /restaurant would be more dishes on the menu. But they had a good selection of dishes off menu, which easily makes up for that.
Great traditional pub food, lovely staff and pool table is a bonus
