A good haunt from University days. Nice place with decent food and pretty good beer. There is usually plenty of seating. Place nice and welcoming. Well worth nipping outside the city precincts for a swift jar and a bite to eat. I rate the place.
Excellent pub. Popped in for a business meeting and lunch. The food was tasty and much better than normal pub food. The customer service was fantastic - the staff were all really friendly and attentive.

Great outdoor seating and good food! Burger doesn't come with chips which is weird and means you pay £10+ for a just a burger. Staff are attentive and friendly.
Good food! We’d past the pub while trying to escape the food festival hubbub. One staff member wasn’t having a great day which came across clearly while we were being served, but that said, other staff were attentive and our food arrived in good time. I’d go back :
Love it. Got a lad in uni of Kent. Always pop in here when visiting. I can see they've worked hard to keep their customers safe during these covid days.
Great selection of beers on tap, reasonable prices, amazing food which is great quality and local, staff are beyond lovely, can't recommend enough, support your local, you really do get what you pay for here, great experience all round, great for watching sport as well
Second time in nice pub spoiled by antics of a group of 10 very drunk men being very loud and one of them collapsed on the floor by 8pm. Felt sorry for serving staff.
