Decent station with a cafe, covered platform, frequent trains, free but limited parking, manned ticket office and machines for when the office is not open. It also has a nice secret garden.
It is a nice train station. Connections to Birmingham and Wolverhampton are easily available. A shaded area is present in case of rain. Toilets are available. A cafe with warm beverages and hot food is easily accessible. It is on walking distance to the bus station and wellington town centre. Ticket machine is available.nnThere is also a secret garden to sit and enjoy.nnThe negative point is that there isn’t any lift to move across platforms.
This was a solid station for arrival and departure, with well-sized platforms for the train services! The bridge leads across well and seating is readily available for waiting, exit is clear and cleanliness was enforced.
Regular services to Birmingham and Shrewsbury plus a couple of London direct services operated by Virgin. Booking office open during office hours otherwise ticket machines. Lovely little cafe. Parking if you're lucky to find a space.
The station looks quite nice and it's served by a variety of Virgin Trains, TfW and West Midlands Trains services from here to the likes of Shrewsbury, Birmingham and Wolverhampton. The formation of trains varies throughout the day so it's not uncommon to see overcrowding.nnBoth entrances to the station have step free access however the footbridge linking the platforms isn't step free. There are ticket machines provided, a nearby bus station as well as a free car park on the Birmingham platform.
