Simple gorgeous station building of this beautiful town. It's like a castle with a lot of details. Good staff and good service from this station. Clean station, long platforms and having a big parking in front of station for cabs and short stay for pick and drop. Anyhow all I liked this station.
The railway station has very good connections to Wales and Birmingham. The train to Wolverhampton is less than an hour. The staff on the train and at the station were very friendly and efficient, waiting with ramps to help a wheelchair user on and off the train. There were plenty of phone charging points on the train. Shrewsbury is a very compact town due to it being confined within a loop of the river seven. It is very easy to walk around. the castle is next to the railway station and worth seeing. There is a good walk along the river bank with stunning views, a nice park, and boat trips on the river seven. The town is full of medieval buildings, and there are lots of historic restaurants and pubs. The three fishes is 16th century. There is just so much to see and do. Shrewsbury is probably one of the prettiest towns in England. The Shrewsbury Hotel is a wetherspoons and offers very good value accommodation.
This was a beautiful station for both arrival and departure, set in a historic building with a vintage design all around! The departure boards keep times updated, platforms are well sized for trains and staff were readily available. Stairs lead properly out to the exit through subway, signs help navigate and cleanliness had been enforced!
Shrewsbury train Station, great architecture from outside. You can get easily accessible to the bus and taxi from the station . The waiting room is there, the toilet is there and the customer information center and police officers are on board .
I left my bag on a train and it ended up in Manchester the staff was great at helping my situation especially the customer care and mo
