DREADFUL!!! Avoid like the plague. I was given a valuation online for my car of £6,750 which i was happy with, I then visited one of their sites after arranging an appointment with them to get my car checked. I was told by the assessor it was spotless and in show room condition where he couldn't find a single mark which I thought would be the case as the car is just over 18 months old and I keep my cars well. Thinking that as a result of the check being more than positive everything would be fine, the assessor then got on the phone to their main office who then decided to down value the car by nearly £700 and appraised the car at £6,100. I was disgusted and asked them why when the online valuation was quoted much higher and I explained that was the only reason I decided to use them. I was then told that it was because of the new registration plate than comes out in March, I then asked why it hadn't been taken into account on the online valuation when the quote stated it was valid for 7 days of which I was within and they couldn't give me an answer. I didn't sell the car to them which I wouldn't now do out of principle, but what has annoyed me more than anything is that I have just gone online to get a valuation on their website to see if the figure had come down in accordance with what they had told me only yesterday when I visited their site. Disgustingly the figure was still the same at what they originally valued it at. I rang We want any car to complain, I explained the situation to the girl on the phone who then once again rang the main office to get their explanation. She relayed to me that it was because of the change in registration plates and then she tried to state that the price quoted on their website are subject to change after physical inspection. I then explained that the assessor couldn't find fault in the car so that was irrelevant because there was no marks or damages to down value. She couldn't answer that and when questioned about why the online valuation today was still at much higher than I got offered from their site yesterday she once again couldn't answer. I quoted to her that they price the cars online reasonably to draw people in and when they get to the site they then plan to drop the price to try and force customs to take the lower offer as they had spent the time and effect in getting the car to the inspector. Finally she couldn't answer than and offered no reassurance or explanations as to the differences in valuations. Because of this company I have lost out on money as I could have part exchanged my car on another purchase at a higher price than they eventually offered but I didn't because of the price they had quoted online. Dreadful company, stay away unless you wanted to be conned!!! I will apologise to Adrian who was the assessor as he was a genuinely nice chap and his hands were tied by the head office.
