Beautiful hotel! Amazing old castle feel! Water surrounding the hotel was fantastic! Staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was amazing! Quiet and had all the amenities! Shower was excellent! Bar service and room service were top notch! There was a wedding everyday which was lovely! Security code needed to enter and exit the main gate. Plenty of parking! Staff was super nice and helpful for us to find our way around! Definitely will be coming back soon and booking again and again!!
Lovely hotel with the original building on an island. Check in quick and easy just how it should be. Rooms are a touch dated but this adds to the chic and experience. Bed very comfortable. Food was good, 4 different meals for the 5 of us and no complaints anywhere. Staff very friendly and helpful, which is good as my room card gave up 3 times! Nice freshly cooked breakfast, all fabulous. Thanks to all there.
Set in a beautiful location which is on an island. Rooms were clean . All staff are very friendly and attentive with a smile. The breakfast and staff in the restaurant was out of this world probably, one of the best breakfast I've ever had It's a bit dated in some areas, but I can't imagine how difficult it must be to run a hotel of this size. It was warm throughout I'm glad I'm not paying their gas/electric bill. Would I go back...... definitely.
I had my wedding here and wow, what an amazing place! They made it the most special day and could not fault it one bit! Staff are great and Pauline, the wedding co-ordinator was absolutely fabulous. Food was amazing. The views are just perfect and great for our wedding photography! I highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
We had a great stay here. The hotel and grounds are beautiful The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We stayed in one of the executive rooms which was on the island. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Spar facilities are good- all in all -Highly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Fabulous hotel, what really makes it is the amazing team that work here. The room was spotlessly clean, the view fabulous and the bed amazing. The food was totally delicious, some of the best I've had. Would highly recommend to anyone and everyone x
By far, the best reasonably priced hotel that you can find. Slight mix up with booking agent and hotel, but they fixed it! There is a lake that sits around the main part of the hotel, and such a beautiful lake! Absolutely loved our stay and slept well too!Rooms: 5/5
Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was warm and clean. Food was excellent in Charlie's and also breakfast was great. Only thing I hoped for were better pillows.Rooms: 4/5
We had a great stay here. The location is beautiful and very close to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We had a couple of lovely evening meals and breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Highly recommended.Rooms: 4/5
A lovely building but the rooms were a bit too hot, a fan was provided which helped a little. I was staying here for a work trip at the same time as a large wedding, I’d recommend avoiding doing this as the whole site was taken over by wedding guests leaving my only dining option as pizza in my room
